Best large capacity washer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is amazing. I was looking for something that was bigger that could handle a large load of jeans or my bedding and this washer easily handles either of those jobs! It cleans every load large or small the same. It’s been the best washer I’ve owned so far.

Large capacity and quiet operation

It comes with stainless tub that will never rust. It has WIFI function which supports remote start and control from Alexa echo devices. Anti-vibration design makes the washing cycles smooth and quiet.

Great washer for family
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a massive washer. In fact, it is so big, that I have actually need to purchase a step stool so that I can reach the clothes in the bottom of the washer. The run time on the washes are significantly longer than my front loading Samsung. I’ve had to adjust my expectation of how long it takes me to get laundry done.

LG 5.5 cubic foot washer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our LG washer has been a pleasant surprise on the ease of use. Very user friendly and a large stainless steel tub. My wife can now do mattress pads and blankets in the washer. Quiet spin cycle and a happy digital tune when finished. Makes you smile.

Large HE Washer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous machine lasted 5 years and required a $200 part. I consulted Consumer Reports and I am so glad! This machine is larger, so does bigger loads if needed. Clothes come out well cleaned

Great Washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this washer about a month and a half. Works very good. Clothes seem to come clean. The drum is very large and can fit a lot of clothes. The phone app was a little tricky to get working, but finally got it working and all is good.

Perfect addition to the family
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a new washer/dryer set to replace an older GE set. After going round and round with reviews and consumer reports, we finally decided on this LG model for our washer. So far, we are not disappointed. Clothes are washed much faster and more efficiently. Stains that were baked in from last washer have been successfully cleaned away with this one. The bin size makes it easier to keep up with multiple kids’ loads. While I was not looking for any “smart” features in a washer, they have added a nice convenience in that I know exactly when the load needs changed over or if there is an issue. Delivery team used by Best Buy were top notch with being on time and friendly during install. They answered all questions and were able to address issues with the additional gas dryer with the order.

Great, but 2 items to note:
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I've been loving how well it cleans clothes. The available washing options and wi-fi notifications via the LG ThinQ app are incredibly useful. The washing cycles themselves arelatively noiseless. Seeing previous reviews I make sure to clean any spilled bleach right away. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is due to two reasons. 1. It's incredibly loud during the spin cycle. *Not caused by imbalanced loads or uneven footing. It just seems like the "washer barrel" itself is beating the back panel. I've had to take a few trips to make sure the washing machine was alright when it was spinning. 2. Unable to open the washing machine while it's adding water. *It's a feature older models have. Once you close the lid on this washer, it's locked for good - unless you pause the cycle to open it, which stops any water addition. Overall, I recommend it.

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent washer. It has been a month since I bought it and am very happy. Very big and cleans well. I get my laundry done in half the time than I did before. Lots of different settings. Haven't tried them all but the ones I have I am happy with.

A filter would have been nice
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't know when I made my purchase, this washer doesn't have a drain pump filter. What is a drain pump filter? It's a simple part inserted between your load of wash and the drain. It catches all the stuff that you forgot to remove from your pockets before you started a load of laundry. How's that not a part in every washer? I don't know. I have owned this machine since June 2021. It's now October 2021. I have two kids, 10 and 11 years old. I work in construction. We send all kinds of junk through our wash. In my new LG washer, after each wash, we find all of that stuff at the bottom of the barrel. Last night my brand new machine wouldn't drain water. My previous washer was a front loading Samsung. The drain pumps (there were two) failed on it (after 12 years), and I couldn't find replacement parts that fit correctly. I like to tinker and fix broken stuff. I'm no stranger to do-it-yourself repairs. Nevertheless, I was not thrilled to find my new machine failing to operate correctly. I found the fix in a YouTube video. Another LG owner, with an older model (LG has been making this mistake for a while now), posted a video of a paper clip jamming his washer's drain pump. If you're handy, like me, then this isn't the worst repair that you'll have to make. If you don't want to go through your dirty laundry with a fine tooth comb before you start a wash, or you're not able to manually drain this massive 5.5 Cu. Ft. barrel full of heavy wet clothes and water, and if you can't move your washer to fully disconnect your drain pump, then you might want to consider a different model...one with a drain filter. When this happened to me I was ready to give a one star review. The fact that this machine needs a slightly above average user to self service is why I couldn't give it a four or a five star review. I'm conflicted. I liked how easy this machine was to drain and take apart. There were four Philips screws on the back, and one Philips screw holding down the drain pump. The hoses came off by hand, no special tool required, and the wire harness connected to the pump was super easy to disconnect (AND THERE WAS ONLY ONE WIRE...didn't need to label to keep track). The metal on the machine was also rounded, there were no dangerously sharp edges to work near. I just didn't like that I had to perform a service on my machine four months after buying it. So far...after self repair...there are no leaks and I fixed my drain pump. I can wash my clothes again. A 5.5 Cu. Ft. washer is huge!!! My 10 year old son has to use a step stool to reach the bottom. I'm not sure what High-Efficiency is supposed to mean, but I'm guessing it has to do with the amount of time that it takes to wash a load. This unit uses A LOT of water. I know this because I recently had to drain it by hand. The good news is, when your drain pump gets jammed, you can lower a 5 gallon home depot bucket into this washer to pull out water before you service your machine.

I love this machine! cant find any negatives
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE LOVE LOVE my new washer! I upgraded from my older GE Profile top loader which I got at least 10 years out of so it wasn't a total waste. But this one is so much larger inside--that alone makes this washer great! The controls are very easy to navigate. I don't think I have any negatives about this machine so far. I did buy the extended warranty because I always buy them for large appliances but hopefully I wont need it. People have commented that if you're short, it's hard to reach the bottom when emptying...but I'm 5'3" and can reach the bottom just by getting on my toes and that's with no shoes on. I was afraid I might need a step stool but it's not an issue for me.

Great washing machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this washing machine for only a few weeks, but so far, I love it. Clothes are coming out clean and it is working like a dream. I really like the top loading so I don't have to squat down to get my clothes in/out of the front loader I had previously.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer has exceeded my exceptions. LG 5.5 Cu. Ft. - Fine, not awesome
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the volume is great, can wash a king size comforter, and I like the glass top. As long as you have enough individual items in it, it does a pretty good job of balancing the load. But it still does the thump, thump, thump when spinning until it figures out how fast it can spin the current load. Things I don't like; It does not do a great job of cleaning on cold. The button response is not great, I always wind up looping around the menus because of the delay in response. I do not like any of the pre programed functions and to setup a custom profile, you need to connect it to your phone, and that's not happening so the buttons will continue to be pushed a lot. I just hope they holed up. Recommendations: plug it into a surge protector power strip to help protect the electronics in it.

Massive drum... you better have long arms!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The drum is massive and that's a good thing. It's not easy for my wife to reach the bottom of it, however. She makes do though. The WiFi feature is pretty good. Setup is a little wonky. Clothes come out nice and clean!! I'm glad to be done with those stinky front loaders.
