I purchased this Tv for a friend as a wedding present, after giving it to him we find out its broken. A brand new Tv that costs $600.00.. was very un happy with this item.

After having this tv for over 3 years only it just stopped working for me. Not only that, it’s been glitching on me and freezing on me for the last 2 and a half years. I highly DO NOT recommend this TV to anyone.

Worst tv ever purchased from Best Buy. Went out after 1.5 years. All reviews are the same like the knee the issue was there and purposely sold on Black Friday to get rid of them. Shameful.

As soon as I turned on the TV, I noticed a line from the top of the screen to the bottom, just left of center. The line is only visible when the tv is turned on as it emits a bright green light. So, based on my experience, I would not recommend this TV.

My TV LG,did not work out of the box, Wi-Fi card went out,had it less then 2weeks,best buy told me to take it up with the manufacturer,who told me best buy should have helped me out, terrible customer service.tv is still not fixed.

Bought and used very little, when we do Use it it just goes to a blank screen until you unplug it and reset it then it may work for a minute or 2, I have 4. Other Old school Tvs that work a lot better than this one. Bad buy

The lifetime is about 20-25 months. The mother board then gives out. Wish that I had read the reviews of others before purchasing this TV

The hint is: get the LG TV Plus app for your phone to use as a remote control! This is an LG electronics official app. The remote control that comes with the TV is a basic one: you can move the pointer to different directions only with the four arrow buttons on the remote, which is a very slow way of doing it! Same thing if you need to type something in the search line, or if you need to fill out some info as there isn't an actual keyboard on the remote. A keyboard pops up on the TV screen anytime you need to type something and to select the letters you have to press the arrow buttons in order to move trough the keyboard. It's very slow and annoying. I think LG should've included a remote control with a small keyboard and a scroller that moves the pointer on the screen given this is a smart TV with a Web browser, search lines where often pople need to type things in and a lot of apps that are easier to be selected with a scroller and pointer. I know that they have a magic remote that comes with their more expensive models, but I think they need to include a more user friendly remote controls with all of their smart TVs as the user experience isn't the same without it. Any way the LG TV Plus app you can download to your phone is free and can do all of the things the basic remote that came with your TV can't - you can use it as a mouse to move the pointer on the screen and as a keyboard - you basically type on your phone and goes to your TV. Another thing people don't mention is that this TV isn't the greatest energy saver: it's close to the top of the scale of energy consuming list. Not big of a deal, bur worth mentioning. Other than that the TV is great - beautiful picture, all of the apps people love included with ability to download more, fast operating system, easy to operate, easy to set up, browser...and the best thing of all I got it for $399 on a pre-black Friday sale. I don't think there is a better deal for a 4k 50" smart TV. We'll spend money, I'm happy with this purchase.

Bought this TV in November 2016 and it's already gone out! There's no picture or sound, the red power light just blinks when I press the button.
