Great TV for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now that I see the real price I think I robbed best buy LOL. Bought this TV on a Black Friday sale but did not put it up until Christmas because searching for mounts wasnt easy and I was away from home for business. I ended up buying the Rocketfish Full Motion mount from Best Buy as well. Both are awesome. The TV has such a crisp clear picture and all the music videos I watched on it seems like I am actually there at the makings. My wife loves the tv but the only issue is the remote wish all smart tv's would have automatically come with a remote with a little keyboard. Not a big deal though you cant have your cake and eat it too. I have download the LG TV Plus app on my android as well as my wife's so that works great. This is actually my first ever 4k Ultra HD TV and I am glad they had at the affordable price. I didnt even need a soundbar for it cause the sound is great as well in itself. I am a happy camper until now.

Excellent Overall TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this television when it was on sale for 399. At that price, it was clearly the best value on the market. Now it's up to 650 and that puts it more into the good value range. This TV offers a very nice picture and surprisingly good sound. We had a soundbar for our old TV, but with this LG, we really don't need it. The TV is only 60hz and that is visible in some instances. Putting the TV in game mode and lowering the sharpness to 0 did seem to help. The WebOS is not snappy but it's also not annoyingly laggy either. The built in upscale does work well in keeping the picture nice and sharp. This model offers a middle ground HDR experience that looks very nice even when lacking the Dolby Vision. I would highly recommend this TV for a large bedroom. If you're searching for a Living Room television, you may want to spend a little more for a bit larger TV with 120hz and full HDR.

Great buy, great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old 42" Plasma died. Bought a 48" Insignia, set up and pic was fine but the sound sucked big time ("tinny/hollow" as such. Best Buy return policy is a HUGE WINNER as I returned in 2 days and opted for this LG 50". Great pic but sound very disappointing, similar to the Insignia one. Suspect the thin size inhibits the speaker size? Went back and bought an LG sound bar (SH3K). Simple hook up and sound is excellent. Wish I could give this a 5 star rating but the sound issue is my only disappointment.

Great if 60Hz doesn't bother you
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two reason why I bought this 4K TV 1. Black Friday price was hard to beat 2. Its an IPS display with amazing colors Unfortunately i returned it because the refresh rate of 60hz was annoying. I was going from a 720p 50" Plasma that I had calibrated for the best picture possible. After watching a few movies with fast moving scenes I couldnt take that annoying ghosting and blur. Another reason why i returned the tv is because all my content is in 1080p so the upscaling was another annoying factor. 1080p looked somewhat blurry. I did try some 4k videos and up close they look AMAZING. I was able to plug both tvs to my computer to display the same video and I have to say that 4k video on a 720p Plasma and on this 4k LED look almost identical from my usual sitting distance of about 10ft. In conclusion I would much rather shell out a few hundred dollars more for a 240hz tv. If you have never experienced the smoothness of a plasma tv or that of a higher 240hz display then this 4K TV is AMAZING.

Terrific starter 4K television
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked my LG up during pre-black Friday sale and I couldn't be happier. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as its higher end sibling but it does pack quite a bit of value. The picture quality is good even using a digital antenna. I really like LG's proprietary Web OS. Everything was easy to set up from start to finish. You could link it to your smartphone and use it as a TV guide and extra remote. Netflix and Youtube apps were good as well as Pandora. Typing with the remote control is not easy but at least it gives you common search items. I would recommend hooking it up to a stereo or the optional LG soundbar. The built in speakers were underwhelming. The high dynamic mode is great for TV shows and animated movies but would turn Hollywood action movies into something that's been captured with a Go Pro camera. Overall, this is a decent 4K TV

Great 4k Display
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this Tv is made by LG and probably only sold at Best buy. The unit I bought seems to have a Better contrast version of the panel, mine looks like a VA panel and is EYE POPPIN colorful! looks like RGB pixels (WOHOO) not RGBW, yuk! It was between SAM ku6300 and THIS, I could not resist when I first saw the stack my local store had of these with the price clearly visible. The HDR feature is a good bonus for anybody looking to get a sample of the technology. Although true HDR is technically for OLED or better, in my opinion. Therefore, I will not complain about it. Both my Ps4 (old) and XBOX ONE s recognize HDR seamlessly. Especially surprised with the sony console, they rarely pair well with full deep color enabled. Motion flow and input lag "feel" just fine. I wish it was 120mhz but those panels sometimes come with issues of their own too. No matter their price. Black screen uniformity is acceptable for the price. Panel is very responsive when using LG SMART menu which is very good compared to higher end televisions. Havent tested chroma 444 or connected pc, still enjoying my consoles before I dive into technical testing. 1. Definite must for xbox one s and PRO, if u want better, just go OLED, everything else has limitations regardless. 2. Youtube app does 4k, finally cause not even xbox one s has it. 3.Sound is good, Uncharted 4 sounds real. 4.Netflix app is good and looks high bitrate on this Tv. Finally worth the extra cost for UHD shows. Note: potential to get an IPS because LG's website claims so. The one I received looks like high quality VA with great viewing angles. Also, update your tv before use, thats how u get all the features. Takes about 2 hours. Glad I waited for this instead of the hisense hdr, it just looks better than my other 4k. Horizon 3 and this Tv go together.

Great Picture BUT......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Sony 4K and this picture is the same high quality BUT....I also have an LG OLED in my bedroom and this picture, while great, is still not up to that lofty standard. Easy set up and picture calibration on my own and at this price of $399.909, the BEST deal for a 4K TV by far.

Great TV For The Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV when it was $399 recently. Bought it primarily for use with a PS4/Pro and my only concern is the input lag. The picture quality is amazing but there is serious input lag. LG is supposedly working on a fix but there is no timeline for when it will be available. Also, cable outputs at 120hz when available.

My 1st 4k Tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only spent 400 after tax using my coupons. The tv is easy to set-up if u follow the instructions. My only ding was the 60Hz refresh rate. The TV is cheap and on sale.

Great choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research and bounced back and forth trying to decide on which TV to get. Great screen, Unbelievable $, Meh OS/Controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good brand, great 4K screen, HDR10, good screen options, VESA mounting etc. I am pretty happy with this, and will hang onto it. Of course, the higher end t.v.'s are better, but this price... A few things to know for buyers coming from an older, smaller t.v. 1.) Sound. The built in speakers are actually passable, but not if you expect premium sound. I have an older soundbar and now know that the only output for sound is Optical. I will have to purchase an audio converter and cable to get sound out of the t.v. and into my speakers. 2.) webOS. I miss Palm. I was such a big fan of PalmOS, and was happy to hear it made it's way on to LG t.v.'s. It's alright, but I wish it was a little more zippy. I'm unsure if it's the cheap feeling controller, or the OS, but overall, I was hoping for a better experience. 3.) Apps. It's a smart T.V., for an elementary school device. The options are solid, but limited. The usual suspects are here, Netflix, Hulu etc, but the other options make me wonder if a Roku t.v. should have been on my shortlist. Time to find that elusive Apple t.v. remote. 4.) VESA, (wall mounting). The measurements are 200x300. FYI. 5.) Build - Looks good, small (but not smallest) bezel, but nothing special. So, my life hasn't changed with this purchase... I'm still satisfied with the purchase, but know that LG probably isn't losing a ton of money (or any) buy selling you this t.v. at $400. Give it a shot; you have until mid January to return if you don't like it!

Worth The Black Friday Price Tag
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV. I have had no problems with it so far. It has great viewing angles, Image is sharp with great colors and deep blacks. Although you have mess with the settings to get a better picture because the the pre set settings are not that great. The cons is the remote control is too small and the TV feels made out of cheap plastic although the image quality is not affected by this. 9 out of 10

Excellent value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has everything you need on an affordable 4k TV: -50 inch -Vivid colors -HDR10 (works with Ps4 Pro, you just have to change DHCP to 1.4 otherwise you won't get any picture. Google how to do this) -Internet (netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, etc) - clean UI -4K
