    EXCELLENT ENTRY LEVEL

It's a good tv with HDR pro feature. But the 60 hz will cause you to see blur in action scenes.

    50uh5530 LG

I bought 2, at $399 it was hard to pass up. Bought 2 Sanus wall mounts from Amazon and they are great too, simple to install, good instructions, real heavy duty. I had a 47" LG that died and very glad I had its remote. I could NOT get either new tv to recognize the hdmi ports that had Direct connected. My old remote had an INPUT button and that was the only way I got off the antenna. The "input" missing from the remote is my only down side. If anyone knows how to get the remote to do input, not settings as that didn't work either, I'd appreciate a heads up. For me the sound is fine and loud enough. I have these in 2 bedrooms. I honestly don't see a picture like in the store but didn't expect to with Direct input. Maybe some DVD or Netflix or PS can get it. I paid some $900 5.5 years ago for the 47"LG. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is my second 4K tv. My first tv is 240hz, and this one is 60hz. It is a differents in picture quality, but you cannot beat the price compared to what I paid for my first tv.

    For PS4 Pro users

I nabbed this TV when it was on sale for my new PS4 Pro purchase. Coming from a 720p plasma, just the 1080 alone was a treat for my old eyes. This TV will work with the Pro but it may not be plug and play for you. It wasn't for me. Like another reviewer suggested, plug directly to TV and bypass your receiver. The reason being is this new copy protection for 4k called HDCP 2.2, My receiver is only 2 years old and passes 4k signals, just not the HDCP 2.2 that was recently implemented. The movie industry sucks. They will kill 4k if they don't sort this mess out soon. Anyways, with ps direct connect to TV, use a fiber optic for audio to your receiver. Prior to enabling the HDR Deep color option in General setting on your TV, turn off HDCP from settings, system on PS4. Then enable hdr on tv, check video output settings on PS and it should say HDR supported for 2k/4k. You won't be watching any 4k hdr movies from PS4 with HDCP off, but your LG TV has the usual apps for that, which since built in won't require the HDCP handshake vi hdmi. Hope this helps. And I hope they can send out patches for the devices to fix this. Enjoy!!

Super awesome. I bought it for gaming and I can't be happier. I saw the Black Friday deal and thought I'd give it a try. It is totally worth keeping. I mean, come on, it's a 4K tv for a great price!

Bought this at a ridiculous sale price. If you need a spare TV, or to use as your main TV, this fits any desire you may have. Even has HDR !!

    Great until it stopped working

I bought this TV after reading many of the reviews and looking at many TVs in person and online trying to find the best deals for my price range. This TV beat most when it came to the price point for the features. And after my initial purchase and set up, I was set on keeping it. Until it stopped working. On the third day it would not turn on. I called LG customer support and after troubleshooting they said it was defective and should be returned to the store immediately. Before it broke: While it was working, I found it to be a very good TV for the price range. It was a great size, very clear and met most needs that I had. Mind you my needs were minimal as I mostly stream tv and movies. The coloring it's not as rich and deep as some of the higher-end TVs but definitely much better than your low end TVs. A very comparable medium level TV. I was a little disappointed in the sound and knew I was going to need a soundbar, but I anticipated that anyways and that did not deter me from wanting to keep the tv. If you are considering this tv, and you do not have high demands like HDR and high gaming quality, then I would definitely recommend this TV. I do not think my scenario of a defective TV is common. I have had another LG TV for over 8 years and it's still working great. After I returned the TV, I decided to get the Samsung curved 6500 and I am so glad I did. It does not compare to this LG TV. The picture is much richer. But I am still sad I had to pay twice as much.

    Good and Bad

This TV is frustrating. While I love most things about it, it has a heck of a time connecting (and staying connected) to any wifi, which makes viewing anything a royal pain and not pleasurable. Had the same problem with my last LG, so will not purchase this brand again.

    Got a lemon

Purchased 6 months ago. Has been in the repair shop twice already. The picture will black out intermittently every couple minutes while the sound keeps playing. Got it fixed once and it lasted about a week before the problem recurred. The only reason it hasn't been to the repair shop more is that it's not easy for me to get there during business hours. I can see why people like the TV. For the price it has a beautiful picture (when it's actually displayed). Unfortunately, this will probably be my first and last LG tv purchase unless they come through in a big way.

This tv fits all my needs, from gaming to watching tv to playing videos from my tablet. My favorite function is the split screen mode that lets you play video games and watch tv at the same time. No complains about the tv so far

I wanted a tv that could be used as a large picture frame in a room with Apple TV and watch online content. This gave me both in my budget with a 4K tv that I didn't think was going to be an option

For the Black Friday cost of $399, this TV has proven to be a very good value. I, like a couple of other reviewers, noticed some judder/motion blur out of the box, but simply changing the TV's picture mode to Cinema all but eliminated this problem (I just set it to Cinema for all inputs) . So far, I'm very happy with this purchase.
