I'm very happy with this TV, all our TV's are LG's, never had any problems with them and we have one that is 8 years old.

I keep reading that this tv works well with ps4 pro and that is not true in my case. It does not recognize HDR.

Works well as a massive 4k chroma monitor, except for the signalling issues at that setting.

First time buyer of a 4k TV

Gotta say, this is the first 4k TV I've ever purchased and I am far from disappointed. Crystal clear picture, the OS is smooth, packed with features, and the sound is actually amazing! I honestly did not expect to get such great speakers built into a TV. Leave it to LG to make an amazing device. And honestly, for $399 this CANNOT be beaten.

Got the first one home, went through the tedious setup process. I was watching it for about 5 minutes when I heard a pop and the screen went black and then it was deader than a doorknob.

    After 3 months...defective

Television was a good price and looked good for a few months but after 3 months there is a thin red line going down the center of the screen. It is very noticeable on a light background scene. Every once in a while It appears to go away but that is only because there is a dark scene in the tv program. Every time I see that thin red line it drives me nuts since it is only a few months old. I guess you get what you pay for.

Worked great for 3yrs and 4 months and then the black screen / 3 red blinks of death... Very disappointed and LG (Life is Good) will not be getting any more of my business after seeing I'm certainly not alone with this issue of the TV just dying after 1 to 3 years or so. I should feel lucky I got 40 months compared to others here I've read...

Poor TV, Capacitor Issues, never buying LG again

    Posted .

It's never a good sign when you Google: lg tv won't turn on and the first site talks about the known capacitor bulging and failing issues of this TV, and how to cheaply fix it yourself. This means that Google's algorithm has determined from traffic and browsers in the past it is the most useful page. This TV had the 3 blinking lights of death issue 1 year into it. I suspected it was bad power in the house, so I put it on a CyberPower Backup with AVR (voltage regulation) to give it stable power. It died last week and refuses to turn on no. Likely due to failed capacitors on the board or a bad panel. This TV had stable battery backup power to avoid any power issue and still died. Poor quality and if you search online it's a well known issue. First and last LG TV, stick with a Samsung.
