Workee great, then it stopped!

Then suddenly i turned it on one day and the screen stayed black but the LED light blinks three times. I read reviews and online support that recommended unplugging everything for 6 hours, i unplugged for 24 hours, and then try to turn on the TV again. The screen flashed LG and then went black. It still does not work! I do not have the geek squad or extra protection plan, and it will likely cost hundreds to fix so I might as well buy a brand new TV. Very frustrating! Other people have had there flat screens for many years, i feel that a product like this should last much longer than three years! Now sure if ill purchase an LG again
