Non/Pre 4K material looks bad on 4K, 8K
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit on display looks greats if you are inputting 4K sources but any material not shot or produced in 4K has a strange effect on your/my nervous system as upscaling technology in general leaves much to be desired. Everything appears to be behind some sort of haze/fog. Stills, very slow moving objects/scenery, animation look decent. People in motion - something isn't quite right - hard to describe. Pros: Sound is quite excellent coming out of the native speakers. Cons: No RCA input ports (as for analog audio and respective superior audio quality). "Magic" Remote (for all LG 4K TV's) navigation is very difficult especially the mouse like movement as you point to navigate. The center button is too small in the middle of the concentric circle (where arrows should have been marked for up/down/right/left navigation). Center button should not be a roll/scroll wheel. Presets for Picture quality are horrible for pre 4K material. Adjustment parameters are too few. Software leaves much to be desired. Pushed updates (on day 2 of having this unit) deleted a couple of much needed picture quality parameters. Most material coming over the airwaves, cable, and streaming is pre 4K (due to bandwidth limits of our present infrastructure and respective FCC regulations). You are better off holding on to your 2K and prior TV's unless you have plenty of 4K material readily available. I returned the unit a few days after purchase.

Just upgraded from a samsung tv and I just felt that samsung software was to slow that did not respond well with the web os, this tv responds alot quicker.

The image is crystal clear , fast refresh rate , and the colors are great .I don't use the built in speakers , I have a audio sound system for that , but the built in speakers are pretty good .
