Q: Can I get a good picture if I sit a little to the side rather straight ahead of this TV?
A: Definitely.
Q: Does the 50QNED80UQA, 50" version, have the IPS panel?
A: The 50" is VA (as stated by LG) and while it does not have the better viewing angles of the larger IPS panels it actually has higher native contrast (so the blacks are not as gray as the IPS models). Obviously the viewing angles would normally be less of a concern on a smaller display (where you are more likely to sit directly in front of and closer to it). The 50" makes for an excellent gaming display (via PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X).
Q: Does this tv support VRR(variable refresh rate)?
A: While this TV may not support HDMI forum VRR specifically it does support AMD Freesync Premium and as such it has LFC (Low Framerate Compensation). So, in most cases there is functional Variable Refresh Rate on this display (and it should operate in the 20-120Hz range).
