Our previous LG TV failed and so we needed a 50" replacement. The UM7300 is a giant step up from our previous 720P LG. We truly enjoy this new TV. It connected to our cable box and sound system automatically on its own, and was up and running in just a few minutes. Great color, great resolution, all for a great price. If you are looking for a lower cost TV with 2160p - 4K UHD, the UM7300 is well worth looking at.

In an attempt to save some money I chose to buy a Open Box of this model, the UM7300PUA 50". Ended up taking an extra week and a half to receive (But that may partly have been to it being shipped during the onset of Covid-19 as well as being shipped out from the Midwest instead of West Coast) I did like that it was much lighter than my deceased previous LG HDTV (An about 9 years old 3D Cinema model), I didn't like that the TV stand 'legs' are stationary unlike my previous TV which had a swivel base. One of those legs was also partially snapped off during transit, but it still could still screw in and support the weight of the TV. That side rocks a little bit if someone touches the set (seems a bit dangerous, and at best unstable). At least this TV is lighter so when I have to adjust its viewing angle it isn't a huge hassle to lift it into the right position. I will probably eventually buy a wall mount that can swivel, or a TV table with wheels to make it easier in the future. The TV's video and audio quality is pretty good I noticed definite improvement in picture sharpness and internal speaker audio clarity. And watching 4K video from Youtube for the first time ever was an eye-opening experience. However, it took some getting used to and a lot of research to familiarize myself with using the LG Apps, linking Alexa, and learning how to Cast from my smartphone. But most of the Smart TV features once updated and setup are pretty intuitive. I didn't like that the previous owner's Network/Cable settings and Youtube account was still linked to the TV and Youtube App when I began the process of setting those features up. Best Buy should have removed all traces of the previous owner from the TV for privacy and security reasons before allowing it to be sold as open box. I did it myself and I'm not the kind of person who would try to steal another's identity, but it would have been easy for me to do so using the traces of information left on this TV. In summary, while the quality of the TV met and even slightly exceeded my expectations. Be aware that buying it used while saving you a bit of money will come with some annoying surprises and makes one wary of just how thorough Best Buy's refurbishing methods are.

Not really much to say. LG has always been my go-to brand for TVs and this one didn’t disappoint. Easy to set up, easy to use. Even the voice recognition on the remote is pretty darn good. At first, before I used it, I thought it was a little gimmicky, but I use it so much now. The picture itself is beautiful. Lots of different settings, including a gaming mode. So you’re able to pick what looks best.
