I went with this unit because of its cooling capacity and because it has the LG Smart ThinQ WiFi control. I have a window air conditioner in my bedroom that’s also LG with the same feature. This unit does a great job! In fact it gets downright cold in my apartment! Window kit is easy to install (mine was missing a couple of screws) and with the included weather stripping seals up well. Be aware that this unit requires 12A of power so you’ll want to be aware of what else is on the circuit so you don’t overload.

This unit is heavy so beware of that. The WiFi connectivity is one of the best option. I still haven't open the remote that came with it. Installation should be a breeze for most people. The window kit come in multiple peaces to accommodate all window sizes. Really good unit.

i purchased the portable because i could not carry and install a window A/C. mind you, a window unit does a better job at cooling. I've had the unit for less than one month. I can roll unit into the hallway closet for storage. been running it on low fan & 70 degrees and it's keeping two rooms cool. the room it is in is much cooler in the late afternoon i do kick the fan to high (only two fan speeds). doing a great job keeping two rooms comfortably cool. the temps outside are 89-91 degrees and my room is on the west side which gets the harsh afternoon sun. this is easy to run, a little vague on the instructions for setting up the window vent but i got it. this unit does Not need to be emptied. rolls nicely and the vent oscillates CON: the electrical cord is only 4 feet yet the exhaust hose can go 6 feet. since this unit cannot be connected to an extension cord; the distance to move it is limited. wish it had a longer cord to better to direct and turn the unit.

I did a ton of research and I really like this LG unit. It was easy to set up, requires little maintenance, and works GREAT. My son's room has very high ceilings and is difficult to keep cold. Now it's extremely cool and comfortable. The high setting is a bit louder than expected but nothing we can't get used to. Overall very pleased and will probably purchase more of them.

I have been on the hunt for a portable AC for years and I am grateful to say that this unit exceeded my expectation. The wifi capability allows me to remote control my unit through my phone when I am away from the house. Perfect for cooling down the room right before i arrive home.

Bought this AC for the kids playroom. Works like a charm. It keeps the room and the kids nice and cool. I would definitely recommend. Due take note that it is a bit large. Only thing to question is weather you want a wall unit or something like this that you can move around in different part of the house/apt, etc.

This is my second purchase of an LG airconditioner. My first purchase is at my mom's house. she loves it and has used it for 4 years without any problem. So when debating on what to buy for my new apartment, I went with LG. And boy am I happy. It sips the electricity and is powerful to keep my entire apartment chill.

It's very effective to cool down a bedroom, the only little problem it's that is a little noisy even after put the sleep mode.

This is a great AC, easy to install and it can cool a very decent area. I bought it for my daughter’s one bedroom apartment and it is perfect. The only down size is that my daughter has not been able to set it with the app; I will give it a shot next time I visit her

The AC came in a box that was falling apart. It had obviously been opened. I accepted delivery anyway. I set it up in a 420 Square foot basement with 7 foot ceilings. On the days that the outside temperature was 99 degrees, It struggled to cool the room. It performs fine if the outside temperature is less than 85 degrees. I think 350 square feet might be a better fit for this air conditioner.

It took sometime to cool off the space, but once it did, it maintained the cool. It’s a bit big, but was expected, after having read the reviews.

The unit is heavy and awkward to carry in the box, but once out of the box it is easy to set up, looks nice and runs quieter than other units I have had.

I find this machine to be very powerful and works well for a 1 bedroom apartment of 650sq ft. The only problem I have is the exhaust, in that I wish there was a little more versatility in how to set it up in the window.

Cools 500 sq. ft. Effectively. Not too loud. Requires dedicated circuit due to high current draw during compressor start up. Temporarily increased breaker to 20 amp till new circuit is installed. Exhaust connection at back of unit had loose fit allowing hot air into room. Wrapped with duct tape.

Absolutely necessary during heat waves. I’ve waited so long so many summers passing me by but now with the summers getting hotter and hotter I decided to finally buy one. Install is a breeze , do you plan on putting it on a platform to make draining easier. Works as it should though never had a problem

It works as advertised, kept out living room cool. My daughter actually suggested that I get a second one for the Family Room.

Well I've had this ac for a little while and it works great so far no issues I have an older sharp but this one cools off my upstairs really well. Set up is easy and window vent is easy to put in.

Wish it had an auto mode. Sort of a waste of energy without it, but definitely powerful.

Southern Louisiana summers are brutal. By the time you dry off after getting out the shower you need another one. Imagine taking a shower fully clothed. That sums up Louisiana humidity. Night shift worker that purchased this to avoid running my main unit during peak heat hours to get comfortable sleep. Actual life saver. Cannot say enough good things. Can also cool a large room with a generator if there’s a lengthy power outage.

Definitely one of the best portable air conditioners I have ever had. Great for a smart home.
