For this model, one helpful step is to check the Simplink (HDMI-CEC) setting in the TV’s menu. If Simplink is enabled, connected devices such as streaming boxes or game consoles can automatically power the TV on. You can disable Simplink under Settings > General > Devices > HDMI Settings. Additionally, ensure that the On/Off Timer feature is not set in the Timers menu, as this can also cause the TV to turn on unexpectedly. Replaced a 2015 LG LED that was great, but we wanted to try some newer tech and the price was too good to pass up on sale. LG is quality and we are enjoying the software the TV comes with. The remote it comes with is the only complaint, but we're leaving its quirks. Overall, we do not regret this purchase at all.

It'll take awhile for the remote to be "intuitive." The picture quality is amazing! & we've hooked it to our receiver/speakers for great sound.

Some audio choices (cinema, sports, clear voice, etc.) have far different qualities where the background music or talking is either too loud or minimal sound. The picture will also go from crystal clear to blurry and then back to clear.
