Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My sister and I got this TV after returning a 55" Samsung 55MU6290FXZA 4K smart TV with a bum tuner. The rear ports are easier to reach than those on the Samsung and the stand is much better (the Samsung's stand was very wobbly!). But... it looks like we traded one problem for another. The tuner in this LG is OK, but I can't get my sister's 8-9 year old Panasonic surround receiver to output any sound when it's connected to the HDMI ARC and optical out ports on this LG. Her surround sound system sounded great and worked fine with the 55" Samsung and was able to get it going with minimal fuss, but no dice on this LG. Even the Simplink (HDMI CEC) works with the receiver (I can turn the receiver off and on and change the volume with the TV remote, just no sound :-( ). I have selected the HDMI ARC / Optical Audio Out output instead of the internal speakers in the Sound menu and tried both Auto and PCM for the sound mode... still no dice. I'll revise this review and increase the star rating if I (or a Geek Squad tech) can get the surround sound receiver to go issue free with this LG.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess the shelf life is short on these things but while it lasted it was good. 4.5 yrs and all of a sudden today i have sound and no picture. Gotta be something internal but out of nowhere. You would expect these things to last longer than 4 yrs but i guess not. While i had it though it definitely served its purpose

I was watching a show and all of a sudden the screen went all black. I could hear it but I could not see anything. Turned it off an on several times but nothing happened. I have an old LG TV and it still works perfectly fine. I paid close to $700 for this TV and it lasted 5 years.

Picture looks washed up very uneven cell lights, when playing ps4 the screen flickers every minute and a half, not a good tv to watch regular TV 1080p, or gaming, the 4k is not bad but thats only if u watch netflix or a youtube videos, the apps are a nice features and the sound is ok, its a shame that i have a samsung 51” plasma tv and it looks wayy better than this, picture looks more original and its about 4 years old!
