By buying this TV, not only did I upgrade from my old Samsung LED TV, but I also upgraded my entire movie collection because the movies look so much better on this TV, it's like watching them for the very first time. Before this TV, I had Samsung LED 3D TV. It was a good TV but it had one major flaw: its lighting technology. You could see the lights around the edges of the TV because that's how that technology works. That prevents the dark colors, especially black, from looking truly dark and is a huge disadvantage. This TV, on the other hand has a much more advanced technology: it doesn't use back-lighting. Each pixel is individually controlled by TV's processor so the colors are much more vibrant and black is truly black. I am sure there are other reviewers who can explain this technology much better than I can. In summary: Picture quality on this TV is amazing. Setup was suprisingly quick and easy. There is not a manual for you to follow but online screens are nicely designed and easy to follow (it also has a descriptive audio function which speaks out the actions you take as you do them; I later turned it off but I think it is really cool). Connecting to my wi-fi was easy and fast with no problems. In comparison to my old Samsung LED 3D TV, this TV is much better in every aspect, except for 1) It's not 3D. 2) The TV stand doesn't swivel (my old Samsung TV stand swiveled), and MY BIGGEST COMPLAIN: 3) Doesn't come with a hard-copy user manual. There is only a small booklet with brief setup and basic info. I wish LG printed a booklet and provided more information and guidance about the picture settings. You can still experiment with the settings and find the best one that fits your needs but it would be nice if there was a manual with that info. I found that the best settings for action movies and sports is HDR active setting, and then going to TruMotion Picture Settings, select user, and then select Deblurr to 10 and DeJudder to 0. And it took me a while to figure out how to get to the screen where you see all the smart apps (on my old Samsung TV, I am used to seeing a button for hub). There is a button on the remote with home symbol, underneath it says RECENTS, pressing that takes you to the home screen with all the smart apps. I wished there was a manual that eliminated the need to figure out these little things. If you are good with playing around with TV settings, then you won't have any problem. But new consumers may require more time.

LG OLED 55C7 picture has never been very clear. Older LED TVs with much better clarity. Now I have an 8” green Stripe that’s permanently BURNED into screen. FOX news

I had a hard time pulling the trigger on this one. I mean I already had a 4K 2015 Vizio m series tv, but I really wanted a tv with hdr. I immediately had buyers remorse. $2000+ is a lot of money to spend on something you do not really "need". Well that was until I powered it on and tested the PS4 pro and also tested a 4K blu ray. I didn't think tvs could get to this point. Impeccable picture quality. It doesn't hurt that a free sound bar was included (sj8). I definitely do not have any remorse now. In fact I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I had to.

TV DIDN'T SEEM TO BE WORKING RIGHT, CALLED LG FOR HELP & THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR SOMEONE TO HELP WHEN THE TV WAS ONLY A WEEK OLD. RETURNED THE TV & BOUGHT A SAMSUNG TV.

Disappointed in this product. Sound lags behind on screen action. My 10 year old TV was better. Horrible.

The technician from the Greek Squad that hooked the TV up was very knowledgeable and friendly.

The LG OLED blows away other LED TV's. The brilliance of the picture, the easy setup, the functions of the remote are amazing. I haven't gotten much sleep since I purchased this TV. I am very happy I bought the LG, and I am very satisfied with the help and service I received at the Best Buy store.

I can see why most of every review almost is giving this tv a 5 star review cause it is worth it i just had it installed by best buy today and it is like my title says best tv ever dolby vision sound is great still testing things out on it the cable from charter looks great on it the 4k movies are unreal cant believe how aweome 4k and 1080p blu-rays look like even the streaming ones and the video games are awesome to oled is truly better then led no disrespect to people that like led and i can use my wireless bose headsets which my last tv couldnt do i can use them for watching cable my blu-ray player anything i have hooked up to it cause it has bluetooth built in my last tv did also but couldnt recognize device like this one can best purchase ever.

I purchased the TV one week ago. The staff at Best Buy were amazing to work with, and were very diligent in ensuring that I received the TV i wanted. I looked at the Sony and the LG, and I am very happy with the TV that I chose. The colors are incredible, the interface is incredibly user friendly, and the WiFi is extremely stable. I have used Netflix to watch 4k shows and movies, and all I can say is I can't believe my eyes... I feel like I am there on set. The sound is absolutely incredible on this TV. I am planning on purchasing a high end sound system in the near future, but in all honesty I am not sure that I need it. I upgraded from a plasma TV, and although that TV was still in good shape with amazing color, I am very happy that I made the change. I cannot wait to watch football on it this Sunday. If you decide to go with this TV you will not be disappointed. I have showed it to family and friends, and they are planning on purchasing an OLED in the near future. I would highly recommend the LG tv over competitors, you will end up with the same picture for a much better price. Don't let the sound quality fool you - this TV packs a punch. If you are looking for deeper bass and an immersive sound quality then spend the extra money on a true surround sound system. I'll update this post once I add one to my set up.

One of the top rated TV for 2017. The 55 inch LGC7P has to be one of the best TVs I came across. Amazing color and quality in every aspect of this TV. I have used it for gaming and shows, the TV does a great job of adjusting color and quality with the pre-sets. NOTE: Be sure to adjust sharpness to 5-10 for best quality images. The sound is great, nothing to compare with a full surround but it can manage. I am using it with LG's SJ9 sound bar and sub combo and it does a great job of producing quality sound. Dolby Atmos and Dolby Visions are mind blowing. Tv comes with both so its already leading the way as far as current gen tech goes. It has a built in Dolby app that has couple of demos, I just wish Dolby could give us more content, the technology is still new but once you experience it, you'll be asking for more. Great purchase!

Awesome TV, great picture quality, intuitive menu, easy to use, and most importantly - it's compatible with a wireless keyboard.

My 11 yr old Panasonic TV finally quit so after a lot of research I went and bought a 55" oled LG TV it has great cololr and picture is out of the movie theatre,one thing I did find out is Comcast X1 box I have is a standard 1080 box, they have a X1 box that has 4K built in which I will be getting,I found this out after using Netflix from the X1 box and then using my Roku Premier box that has 4K there is a difference,real nice TV

When I bought this TV I knew I'd be in love with it. All these years later and it still works great and the picture quality is amazing. I'm glad I did it.

I waited 7 months before writing this review to allow ample usage time. I am super OCD about my TVs and electronics, and have owned many TVs, and can sum up this review by simply stating everything about this OLED TV makes it the best TV I have purchased. Every time I watch it I comment to myself how amazing the picture is. Combined with the SJ9 soundbar it is truly an awesome experience.

Did some research on the oleds and it was between the B7A, this C7P, and the Sony equivalent. The B7A was 200 cheaper but lacked the Atmos decoding (negated if you have an atmos receiver). The Sony was 1000 more in price,though, with a slightly better processor (same lg panel btw). Couldn’t be happier with my choice: (near) perfect blacks, infinite contrast...destroys the best lcd Samsung has to offer (their QLED is pretty darn good, but not as good as this oled). If you’re in the market for a new panel, this is definitely 2017s best of the best.

Fantastic TV. Excellent delay for gaming. Beautiful picture. Do note, I did buy this with the LG sound bar and rear speaker kit and if you connect said sound bar via blue tooth, you are unable to select game mode as your picture setting. This is due tot he delay in the BT audio. Use optical or arc

Owned the TV for about 4 years now and I’m very pleased with it still. Everything looks good and works like new.

Best tv ever. Nothing bad about it. Amazing picture and sound. Definitely worth the price.

Excellent picture, great upscaling on 1080p content. The apps are a nice bonus. Wish there were a few more, but since it's WebOS, I know they're limited.
