Clonked out on me after 5 yrs!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a lot of research before getting this tv. It all checked out. It was used moderately. No heavy gaming. After 4 yrs i started to see slight burn in in the middle of screen. Yesterday after about 5 yrs, it stopped turning on. Contacted LG but it's obviously out of warranty. So now i have to pay to get it fixed or get a new TV if the repair cost doesn't make sense. So buyers buy with caution.

OVERRATED AND DEFECTIVE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this tv is overrated, we bough this tv and the screen and circuit board burned out within a month. DONT get me wrong the picture is great but the product was !*#&^%. we bought this tv for almost $2000 and it went out on us on month... on christmas day to be exact 2017. we contacted LG and they sent us a technician that friday, he comes look at the tv without opening it, he said it was the circuit board and takes another week, the part comes in and he finally comes back and opens the tv and find out the screen is blown out and a couple of other things is blown out he has to order the parts again and it will takes another week. so i just took the thing back and got my money back! DONT BUY THIS $%#^ !

Two had screen and power failures within 18 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality of the TV was PHENOMENAL [not as good as the Sony we now own], but excellent considering how much less expensive than the Sony equivalent. First LG powered off and would turn on then off immediately within 11 days... returned, Best Buy replaced... 2nd TV had the same issue within 18 days... Best Buy refunded and we purchased the Sony OLED same size, etc. We SHOULD HAVE KNOWN as the LG Plasma we bought had lasted 6 months before it powered itself off and on in the same way. Sorry to say but we are now DONE WITH LG...

OLED Stain Problem after 14 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this OLED TV when it first came out in December of 2015.. The screen was gorgeous.. I bought it on sale at Best Buy for $2900.. After about 14 months I noticed a yellow stain on light blue backgrounds. On the Internet is this a common issue. I contacted LG support and they told me to reset screen. I followed their directions.. actually three different directions.. and the screen is the same. They sent me to outside repair center who told me that the cost of a new screen is more than a new OLED tv.. So basically your LG OLED is good for about 14 months. Amazingly, my five year old Samsung QHD is still gorgeous.. I suggest you stay away from LG or get the two or three year warranty from Best Buy.

Worked for about 2 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got to watch this tv for two months. It was built only 3 months ago in Mexico. Best Buy doesnt want it back and LG says there is no service center in my area but said they would find something in 3 -5 business days. It been 8 days. I almost spent an extra 800 dollars on the Sony. Now I am wishing I had.

Long Term Defect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The panel when new has a beautiful picture, but developed a severe green tint to the picture after several years of normal use. Research seems to indicate it is a known overheating defect in this particular model.
