As awesome as expected!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with the product, the in-store service, and the delivery by BestBy for this television. I have not professionally calibrated the TV, but the default settings available makes the picture quality excellent without confusing controls, so I do not think professional calibration is necessary. Product: I have watched regular live television shows via Hulu, used the interface for streaming 4k via Netflix etc., and an Apple TV for viewing 4k movies. In addition, I have played a variety of PS4 games including high motion first person shooters such as CoD WWII. All looked excellent with high color contrast and deep blacks (as expected) and no noticeable motion blurring. Both the TV itself (so slim) and the picture quality (vibrant) are so beautiful! I recommend the first 4k show that you watch on this television to be Planet Earth on Netflix - the scenery looks absolutely amazing! In-store service: The sales rep was very knowledgeable about various televisions. In addition, after my purchase (same day), I happened to find a better price at a near-by local retailer. I brought proof of the lower price and the sales rep matched the lower price, as he said he would when he sold me the TV if I found a better price elsewhere, or changed my mind on the purchase. Delivery/Set-up: The product was delivered in the time window estimated and the box placed in the room I requested. The television arrived undamaged and I was able to set it up with the help of one other person. I suggest watching a youtube video for attaching the stand as I found it to be a bit tricky. Note that un-boxing/taking away empty box etc. is not included in the standard (free) delivery.

Horrible Upscaling/ Motion issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I really wanted to love this oled tv I really did.... In short this tv is great if your Only planning to watch 4K Dolby/HDR movies or anything set in deep space while seated in a dark room. For anything else like cable tv the upscaling is not good at all. There is so much judder/blur and pixilation that it makes the picture almost unwatchable. I had the tv for close to 45 days and in that time I’ve tried every combo of motion settings possible to try make the picture look watchable with no luck. I even had the cable company come out to check my lines and my signal was perfect. Now I know most cable is only 720p or 1080i but my 2-3 year old Samsung KS8000 which was considered a mid tier tv upscales so much better then this oled which is supposed to be a top of the line tv and there is no excuse for that. Not for this kind of money! I decided to exchange for the Samsung QLED Q8fn and I love it because the it handles motion and upscaling much better then the oled. It’s also so much brighter and has much more color and pop. As I said in the beginning I really wanted to love the oled but my eyes don’t lie. On the positive side in the close to 45 days I had this tv there was absolutely no sign of burn in! I hope this review is helpful to people concidering going with the oled.

Beautiful Unit, Thoughtfully Designed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, just wow, the only way to explain this tv. Picture is razor sharp, has vibrant color and pops right off the screen. Very easy to set up, beautiful UI and simple to use. This unit is light and was easy to mount in under 20 min. I cannot wait to get this calibrated to see what it can really do. Just remember to purchase 4K capable cables to maximize your experience!!!

Good Tv with some Reservations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv to replace a 55 inch sony 850c that I broke by accident while carrying it across my house when I painted my bedroom (panel cracked from my hands). I originally bought the 55 inch sony 900f, but returned it because I was not impressed with the local dimming performance and thought it had worse picture quality than the 850 which was only edge lit. Would I recommend this tv? It depends. The picture quality is great, no doubt. And I am no fanboy. I own samsung cell phones and an lg washer/dryer (high-end, because I believe Lg makes a great washer and dryer). But the current price disparity between this tv and say, samsung's Q8, is now rather substantial (1799 vs 1299, respectively). But when I bought my oled this past summer, it was 1999 and the q8 was 1799. So at that time getting the oled was a no-brainer (IMHO). People have this idea that OLED is the best. It is great, no doubt but honestly my sony edge lit tv handled sports and motion better. I repeat- I hate watching sports on this tv! I'd rather watch football on a 1200 dollar edge lit tv. Keep in mind that any tv that has some sort of local dimming feature or offering is trying to mimic what an oled can do pretty much perfectly; that is, perfect black levels. Think TCL at the low end, sony 900f at the mid, and Samsung q8 at the high end, just as an example. But beyond black levels, I would not say that this tv is the best. So if it isn't going in a theater or primarily dark room, I wouldn't spend the premium that this tv demands. Instead, i'd look at saving tons of bucks and getting an led that is rated at performing local dimming features well. And if local dimming isn't important to you, then you can save even more money and get a standard led tv. lastly, and this did not impact my opinion of the tv overall, I had to return the first one that I bought due to horrible screen uniformity and flashlighting. I went through Lg who sent a tech out and the tech said he couldn't get a panel replacement on what he was seeing so i returned it for another one. The second one was much better. I do think Lg had an issue with panels for the C8 originally but since has remedied it from what I can see doing an online search.

Best TV I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a long time Sony fan, but I am extremely happy I splurged on this product. The picture quality is amazing, no motion blur, and great for video games. truly feel like this TV should cost more but I am not complaining. The magic remote is pretty nifty, I thought it would be very gimmicky but its not at all. OS very fast, never lags and was easy to setup.

Best TV I've ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short & sweet. It's deffinitely worth the investment. It's an amazing TV that covers everything you need. The picture quality is unbeatable, and it handles everything from regular TV, 1080p movies, to STUNNING 4k content. I recommend if you want to showcase the TV throwing in the original Blade Runner to see the power of what this TV can do to even an older movie like Blade Runner. I'm waiting to pair this with the Panasonic UB820 to utilize the full spectrum this TV has to offer, but I suppose the Sony x700 will do until then. The only issues right now appear in software, Netflix/Amazon can be a bit wonky at times, but these will be remedied eventually, so not a big deal. Also works flawlessly with my Sony HT-ST5000, and can even use the stock remote to control everything, so that's an added bonus.

Easy to mount, setup and program!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a huge fan of involved, corded tech stuff. I was setting up a home from scratch. I got this TV for the picture definition in store. It was even BETTER at home. From 15 feet away I still felt like I was in the action, not watching the action. I got the 4K Apple TV and a blue ray player after I got the tv up and running. They were pretty easy to set up, just make sure your mount gives you enough room to get between tv and wall. Or set up all your back mount wires before you mount it. It took a while to get used to the remote, but I like this one better than the flat rectangle push ones. The WiFi compatibility is great. We use the included apps more than cable tv now. Due to the huge, open living area I did go for a good sound bar. The tv sound is ok, but required clarity. That pairing was easy too- and I am over 50 and have never had experience starting up a tv that didn’t come with its own antenna.

Simply Amazing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not even sure where to start with this. It's the most amazing TV I have ever owned. What makes it so good?: - the picture is fantastic. But you would expect that. - extra HDMI ports! So lacking on the less expensive TV's - superb menuing interface - I love the 'on screen mouse' provided by the remote. Easiest configuration ever. - Not too heavy (great for apartment dwelling transients like myself) Worth the extra cost. Great TV.

Amazing picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 65 lg e7 in living room. I needed a 55 for master bedroom, so to save money I got a vizio p series. Don't get me wrong the vizio is good for the money, but once you have oled nothing compares. I exchanged the p series for the lg c8. WOW is all I can say. It is a small improvement over the 2017 e7, which is also amazing. If you care about image quality go with oled. Got geek squad protection so no burn in worry. Lg c8 is amazing! Dolby vision on Netflix has to be seen to be believed. I will say my e7 is also great, so If you can find a deal on a 2017 model go with that. Can't go wrong either way.

3+ years and it’s been great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great TV for the last 3-4 years. No burn in. I do a pixel refresh here and there if there’s any odd artifacts which has happened. Not a big deal. Internal speakers are alright but if you’ve come this far, it’s likely you’ve got at least a sound bar. Great darks and colors all around.

very nice! with a chirping sound...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got the TV sunday, and was watching some football and it looks great! no motion blur, very nice. As I was watching, there was a constant chirping sound coming from the TV. Has anyone else had this issue? I went to youtube to check out some 4k UHD content and it looks nice. I dont have any other way to get content as of yet, still needing to get a xbox one x. the setup was easy, the only issue was no clear input select button right out of the box. I found it when I went through the manual. no big deal. the sound is really good for a TV. no complaints there.

Absolutely great BUT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic picture. Everything I wanted for looking at my camera pictures and videos. However, you need a MEEaudio Connect if you want to share the audio with your spouse/friend. RCA compatibility is not on this unit. Also include bluetooth headphones and digital optical audio cable.

Screen burn in happened before long.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture looked great for the first few years. We used the pixel refresh feature regularly, but unfortunately in about 5-6 years we started getting the burnt in rectangles across the bottom of the screen from sports and news channels. In its 7th year now and it has gotten bad enough that it will need replaced. This is disapointing because I have several other $200-$300 TV’s that have lasted longer, including a SONY BRAVIA that is twice as old and still has a great picture. This will be the first and last LG I buy. Not impressed with the lack of quality, especially at the price point I paid for this OLED.

I love Clayton Carmine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.…. But not enough to be burned into my tv screen ug. I’ve had this tv since 2019… recently I noticed the home screen from gears of war burned into the tv background. It’s not terribly noticeable but it is there when watching tv it’s faintly visible. Also, I’ve never owned a tv that conducts so much heat, I can feel it when I’m standing near it yeesh! The picture was great before this happened, but I would not purchase again.

Were was TV before this OLED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb! Very easy to set up and an incredible picture. This makes the LED TVs in the house look dark and lesser definition in comparison. Strange how one gets used to this until one gets this TV.
