Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the induction cooktop's performance and the oven's even cooking capabilities, noting that food cooks quickly. They also find the range easy to use and clean. However, some customers mention challenges with the size of the burners, finding that smaller pans may not heat efficiently on the larger burner. The slower heating time of the burners compared to other brands was also noted by some users.

    Great Induction Range

We are really loving this range. We did have to get new pots & pans, but knew that going in. Just make sure what you have will work with induction. The cooktop is so responsive, it’s like cooking on gas again. So much better than the old radiant range we had before. We live in an all electric neighborhood so there is no gas plumbed anywhere in the subdivision so this was a great option.

There are few induction ranges on the market in the U.S., and even fewer in our budget. After extensive research, we chose this LG because it has real knobs (as opposed to an all-digital panel) and offers the sleek slide-in profile. We have been wowed by the performance of this thing. The burners are precise, ultra-responsive, and make none of the high-pitched noises that induction burners sometimes emit. Our baked goods are coming out perfect every time. The cobalt-blue oven interior is really neat, although I can't comment on its ease of cleaning yet. Personally, I could do without the tinny little songs played for every function (preheat reached, timer elapsed, etc.), but my kids get a kick out of this very musical range. Don't spend more: this LG range is perfect if you're looking for an induction slide-in. And if you're switching over from a conventional electric cooktop, you'll be floored at how much better induction is.

I’ve just had it a month so it’s hard to really know. But so far I love it. Responsive and precise. You can turn a burner up or down and it takes no time to respond to you. I love not using gas and my last electric stove wouldn’t die but I hated it. Oven is big. I like the dial placements. I haven’t yet figured out if I can remove the dials to clean. We’ll see.

Overall, a nicely built oven. Induction works great. Don't leave a pot of water to boil un-attended, it boils fast. Only negative is the racks seem a bit flimsy.

Nice range/oven. Easy to use. However, there are some improvement/enhancements: 1) The large burner is not working if pot is much smaller than actual burner size. It would be nice to detect the pot size and adjust the burner size accordingly. 2) The over control LED panel has touch control. But it is not illuminated. So it will be difficult to operate the touch control panel in a poorly lit environment. It would be nice to have either back-lit or illuminated touch control. I think this expensive product (~$3K) deserve such functional enhancement/improvements.

I have been searching for a reasonably priced induction stove-top and convection oven, got this as an open box deal and could not be happier. Large induction burner allows me to use my 12" and 13" skillets, super fast heating, large convection oven all for less than $2k. Have been using it like a workhorse for about a week and it performs superbly for everything from searing to slow cooking. The baked items have come out evenly cooked and I have not yet found any cold or hot spots in oven. My only complaint is that I wish I could set actual temps on the induction, but with a little more time I will have it figured out.

Love this oven, the ProBake Tru Convenction AND Induction top! It's absolutely beautiful! One gripe, when preheating with convection, you set the desired temperature, but it will always revert back to 350 degrees for some reason. Still looking for a fix for this. other than that, I won't be getting rid of it over that.

    RUST

I am genuinely torn about this range. On the one hand, the cooktop is genuinely great. Water boils quickly, and pans heat fast and evenly There's a good number of contact points to use simultaneously as well. A+ there. The oven works, though it doesn't blow our socks off. No problems there. The downside is the RUST. I've owned many stainless steel products over the years - not just appliances but sinks, trash cans, shower trims and more - and this range is *by far* the most rust-prone of any of them. We've been using it for less than six months and the area around the dials is practically covered with extremely-tough-to-remove rust spots. It doesn't even get especially wet, beyond occasional splashes during cooking or boiling water (which we quickly wipe up). This is with regular cleaning using stainless steel wipes, too. We paid a lot for this range, and as good as the cooktop is, we probably wouldn't purchase it again because of the rust. It's a shame.

Hi there, Lorna. We appreciate your detailed feedback about your LSE4616ST range, and we're glad to hear that you find the cooktop and oven performance to be satisfactory. However, we're sorry to hear about the issue with rust developing on the range.

Stainless steel appliances should generally be resistant to rust, and it's indeed unusual for such issues to occur in a short period. Here are some suggestions:

Cleaning: Continue using stainless steel wipes, but also ensure you're not using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads that may scratch the surface and make it more prone to rust.

Preventing Moisture: While you mentioned wiping up splashes quickly, ensure no moisture is lingering on the surface, especially around the dials and control area.

Warranty: Since your range is relatively new, it's worth checking if the rust issue might be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Contact LG customer support for further information and potential solutions.

Your feedback is important, and it's disappointing to hear about your experience with rust on the range, given the investment you made. We're here to assist you, and we recommend contacting LG's customer support at (800) 243-0000 for further guidance and assistance. Thank you for choosing LG, and we hope to help you find a solution to this issue. ^Jolly LG

Induction cooking is first rate, quick and accurate. Controls are easy to see and use. Oven does an excellent job baking on a normal setting. Very intuitive controls. Haven't used convection yet. Really like this LG slide in range combo, as gas is not available to us.

Stovetop is incredibily close to gas performance (without filling my house with the noxious carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and other harmful pollutants that gas cooking creates). Temperature change is almost instantaneous with the turn of the dial. Before buying, I tested all my cookware with a simple magnet to see which pots were going to work with the induction system. I did have to buy a few new items (flat-bottom wok). I was surprised to discover that a lot of stainless steel is not magnetic...who'd have guessed! Stovetop stays pretty cool--it's actually the heat of the pan that is transmitting some heat that the glass top absorbs, rather than there being a dangerous heating element under the glasstop. Glass top is of course important to care for meticulously, to avoid scratching, but that's the same issue with a regular electric stove. I use the oven less frequently, but it the convection feature works very well.

I have had my new induction oven for almost 1 month! I'm so pleased! It has changed my life. I am able to boil water within few minutes. Cooking has become so much easier by prepping and cleaning up with my induction oven! It is extremely safe by directly heating your pots and pans instead of the cooktop.

Love the induction cooktop on this range. I can now use my stainless steel pans without sticking. The convection oven is great for making Kale Chips and such without all of the fat. There is a learning curve with the induction. Trial and error. The pans heat up VERY quick so the trick is to put the oil or butter in immediately and put the food in before it starts to burn. Also found Ben the associate in the store to be very helpful. I try to buy locally to support our community. These people need jobs.

I was on the fence about this oven for a while. I did all the research and read all of the reviews and finally decided to go with it. So happy that I did! I love cooking on the induction stove top! It’s super fast to cook on and easy to clean. It’s like having a gas stove but obviously it’s electric. The oven works great as well but I don’t use it as much.

Really like our new LG Induction stove. Have only had it a couple weeks but love how fast it heat things. Boils water much faster than any electric or gas stove that I have used. It instantly stops the heating just like a gas stove. No cooling down of elements like an electric stove. Very precise adjustment of heating units. Has a warming unit that you can move your pan to and it keeps whatever you are cooking warm but does not continue to cook it. Have not used the oven yet. So far we really like it.
