Wait for a later model
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image is super clear and the colors are amazing... until the image starts to move (I've tried multiple settings). The brains of this model don't seem like they can keep up with processing the image, so you get jerkiness, lag, and blurring around moving objects. Considering the price, it was a major disappointment.

IMO - The best TV with the best tech for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the OLED65B6P about a week ago. I had it installed this weekend on the wall in my living room. It's been two days and I can't begin to describe how great the viewing experience has been. I think LG knocked this one out of the park, and they deserve acknowledgement for what they have achieved. At $4,500.00, it is still expensive. I get why. The technology, the design, the OS, etc., and a host of other things the techs and professional reviewers can spat are what justify it's price. This TV is the new benchmark other 4K's will be judged by. Rightly so. In car terms, this thing is the 911, or the 488 GTB. First, what you've already heard. Perfect blacks and infinite contrast. At night time, with the lights out and watching Gravity and Interstellar, it was hard to tell where the TV began or ended, other than a slight shimmer or reflection off the LG logo at the bottom center of the set from the light generated by the TV. I've never owned a plasma, but I have friends and family that have. This is just as good, if not better, from what I can tell. Viewing angles are spectacular. No matter where I sit in the room, the picture looks exactly the same. The up-scaling on this thing is incredible. One of the first things I did with my son, was play HALO 1 CE. As old as that game is, this TV gave us a reason to play through the entire campaign again. Cut scenes and real time came alive in ways I did not think possible for a game fifteen years old. It didn't change anything with the graphics, but the colors are so much better on this set, than anything I have played on. From there I moved on to Dead Space, Mass Effect 2 & 3 and ended with Assassins Creed Black Flag. Black Flag was by far my favorite. When I am finished with this review, I plan to go back to it. This is not a gaming monitor, and it cannot compete with tools focused on that particular genre. However, it is no slouch at performing when in Gaming mode. If you want something that looks good that you can play games on, this set is above average in my opinion. Web OS 3.0 is fluid and easy to use. My son is 5 and picked up the remote and navigated the menus without a problem. I don't doubt anyone can figure out the control in a few minutes. I am not an avid fan of the wii remote UI, but it is easy to use and effective. Voice control is okay. Much like the XBOX One, voice controls are only effective without background noise. With two kids running around and playing, it's not very effective. When it's quiet, it can make things easier. The TV performs well. Apps load in relatively short time. I am still not certain it is better than using a multi-media device like the One, 360, Roku, or Apple TV, but it can save a few clicks rather than having to switch the source. The two channels on one screen probably has uses I cannot yet attest two. I have ideas, however I cannot yet say I have done anything with this feature at this point. I have only had a short time with this TV, and it is every bit as stunning and beautiful as what I have heard and seen in research and reviews. I look forward to educating myself further on what it can do. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend this TV. I was also contemplating purchasing the the 55 inch. The savings there is pretty significant, however, the 65 will not disappoint. You'll never wish you went smaller. If you have the means get it. If not, I am sure the 55 will be fine. You're still getting the top of the line in TV technology today. I own two Samsung TV's. I researched their JS models for the better part of a year, and their regular UHD TVs before that, but I am not a fan of curved TVs, by any manufacturer. Why have we spent all these years making TV thinner and flat? Then manufacturers redesign it, adding a few inches off the wall and charge more? I am sure some would say that with a perfect viewing angle, directly in front of the TV at an optimal distance, there is no better experience, and that may be true. My preference is and always will be flat. The negatives...so far, the only real complaint I had was the white power chord. I am waiting for an electrician to come and put an outlet directly behind the TV. Depth from the drywall to the firewall was too shallow for the bridge. The chords are bundled and zipped tied down to the entertainment center, temporarily. It won't be a problem in the long run, but the white chord doesn't blend with my set up and just stands out. For those of you planning not to hide behind a wall or molding after mounting to a wall, just keep in mind that LG's backing on the TV and their chord are white. 3D, plain and simple, this TV can't do it, however, it is not a problem for me or my family. We have one 3D movie and have watched it only once in 3 years. I think this TV should be an additional 300-500 discounted, so as to place it in line under the C, which can do 3D, however, it is not. I think marketers know customers want flat, and those not willing to step up to the E, will eat the cost. It wasn't a deal breaker for me, but it might be for some. 3D is not important to me, but it may be for you. If so, this TV won't be an option for you anyway. I think in a few years time, devices like the Oculus Rift and Gear VR will surpass it. Though I think VR and 3D are more fads than trends. I could be wrong. To wrap up, I am immensely pleased with this TV. OLED is a game changer and as time goes on, it will only become more common and affordable. It may not be perfect, but for the price, there is nothing that I have seen which compares.
