The OLED panel on this TV is simply amazing.
The viewing angles are great, and brightness is superb. I really don't think there is a TV that has a better picture quality.
The WebOS system on the TV is average. I know that some people love it, but I find it not very intuitive and the app store is missing some expected titles. However, just attach your preferred streaming device if you find anything missing.
The real standout of this TV is the HDR. It is incredible to see such contrast.
The only negative is the price, but if you can afford it, this is the TV to get.

I have wanted an OLED TV for quite some time now, having heard all the positive press and seeing examples of how vibrant the colors could be on smaller devices. I'm happy to say that everything you have most likely read in reviews is true, once you go OLED...there is no going back. This will be an initial review of my first few days with the television but I will return later with an update on how the Television continues to perform.
The display itself is very thin and well made. Straight out of the box the sets minimalist and sleek design impressed.
This expert styling continues right on into the televisions interface as you are immediately greeted by fun, vibrant animated tutorials that help walk you through the setup.
The menus are very fast and responsive, and put my older Samsung to shame.
I have yet to calibrate the picture, but straight out of the box the screen already popped! Everything about this TV has wowed me.
I have had good luck with LG products in the past so I'm not expecting any future problems. But I will check in later once I have calibrated the screen and to give updated impressions of it's continued usage.

I defy you to find a better looking picture than what you'll get from this LG OLED line. The interface is fantastic; the colors are vibrant; the blacks are truly black, and everyone who comes to my home is impressed by the TV. The one and only drawback is that you can suffer from burn-in if you're not careful. Use a screensaver, and run the Pixel Refresher when you can to extend the life of your OLED screen.

LG 65 B7A A seriously awesome TV .. Looks great sounds great and the stand support makes it look like it's floating above my tv stand. Easy set up and then you turn it on... thats when it gets interesting.
1. Very little info to get started..remote (majic remote)is a bit of learning curve. Then hunting and finding all the technical stuff is a challenge. if youre not used to setting up your own stuff get assistance. I have always been fairly tech savvy but this one gave me a go for a little bit.
2 dear Friendly helpful best buy employee..my theater sound system does not connect to new schmart tv..
zero analog plug ins!..all HDMI usb and digital and bluetooth stuff.. bummed..its a 2001 dinosaur but it works great..aftermarket stuff is being a headache to find but does exist in forms of converter boxes uggh..shame radio shacks not around. I may just move the sound system back to older LG THAT WORKED PERFECT BTW, and get a new theater system thats digital.
Minor issues compared to the FANTASTIC upgrade in viewing. LG makes a great product that holds up.
I just wanted a more updated look and glad i decided to go for above average with this set.
If i ever figure out how to get Alexa to turn on off and change channels it will be PERFECT..lol
Overall this was a great buy during black friday sale. I highly recommend it.
THANK YOU

Best Picture I've Ever Seen

I purchased theOLED B7A to replace a Sony rear-projection TV we'd had for probably 15 years. Our family was happy with our old TV, but when we saw the OLED TVs on display at our local Best Buy we were amazed.
After roughly 2 years of waiting, we were finally able to purchase one, and we've not been disappointed. The picture clarity is amazing, and the color definition (especially black) is exactly what we expected. Side viewing angles are better than I've seen from LCD and LED (on friend's TVs). Even programs that are being upsampled to display in HD look better than ever.
Since this is a smart TV, I have to mention both the apps and the remote. We had been using a smart blu-ray player to provide viewing apps, but with the new TV that's no longer necessary. Coupled with the really cool included remote (that gives you a pointer on the screen!), the apps are easy to navigate and use.
The one area that has taken our family some time to get used to is the clarity of the HD picture. After watching comparitively low definition TV for so long, the HD picture is almost too crisp (kind of like when you replace your favorite pair of holey jeans.) Old movies that we've watch many times before now look sort of fake (my wife used the term "soap opera-y") I'm not sure if this is because we're accustomed to seeing the movies fuzzy or if it's something to do with the upsampling. This is probaby the one area where our familiy members are split on the new TV, but I believe any HD TV would probably have a similar affect.
To sum up...we're really happy with our new LG OLED B7A. We haven't found anything serious to complain about, and the laundry list of good stuff keeps on growing.

I was fortunate enough to pick this tv up during Black Friday week. The price was great for a tv this size and quality. Once it was all hooked up, it required a little adjusted for the picture, however once the settings were set, it blew me away. Watching movies at night really demonstrates why this tv is so incredible. With perfect black levels, hdr content looks extremely bright and vivid. This TV sets a new standard for other tv’s.

I've had this for a little over a year now and it still takes my breath away. I'm so glad I invested in this OLED. The picture quality is absolutely fantastic. Watching HDR 4K movies is quite the experience let me tell you. Even standard definition 1080 TV is greatly improved. The pitch blacks - the motion and vibrant color - its just an overall A+. I have absolutely no regrets with the purchase.

The first thing I watched was IT in 4k Dolby Vision, I was mesmerized with how it looked, the makeup and wrinkles on penny wise face was crazy, the dark scenes are like no other tv I’ve seen, also watched Holloween 2 on Blu Ray which was sick also.... Last thing I played battlefield 1 on PS4 which was also a night and day difference the colors pop also motion was good on this and input lag was pretty much non existent. Also I played for about an hour and a half and I did not see any image retention or burn in, also if you get this tv installed by geek squad they did not turn on nor know what the screen shift function was for, make sure you turn this on especially if you watch sports or play video games as this moves static images left and right to prevent “panel noise” or “image retention” also I would suggest at least every week or two running the picture refresher which is also a preventative function to prevent image retention or burn in, both pixel refresher and screen shift can be found under the OLED panel settings in the picture settings menu.
The only gripe I would say I have which could just be the fact I was streaming “IT” in 4k on Apple TV was the motion on the bike wheels had some minor distortion while up close, like I said it just could be that it was streaming, I will be buying the blu Ray soon and will update whether it was streaming compression or actually the tv not being able to keep up with the fast spinning spokes of the wheel.

This TV has such a great picture, I love watching Netflix in 4K on it, some of there content has Dolby Vision that sets the picture levels and it looks beautiful, I have 2 of the Samsung 8000 82 inch’s and they also have a great pic, but this one is the best the black levels and colors are great. This also looks great on just the HD cable, but it really shines in 4K HDR

I recently purchased this TV on Black Friday. The OLED screen looks amazing. 4K HDR content looks excellent. Very easy to set up. Very thin. WebOS isn't great, doesn't have nearly as many apps as an Apple TV or Amazon Fire. I would recommend keeping one of those items around if you want a variety of apps. However it does have the basics, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix. Would recommend.

TV looks great! The TV looks great everything on the package was correct with the contrast black levels are out of this world I would suggest this to anyone and everyone. Make sure you get the b7 because there's no difference between that and the customers, yes if you go up past b7 you get more bells and whistles but they're really not needed.

Definite upgrade fom plasma

Up to this point I have been very pleased with my 65" plasma TV, and hesitated to upgrade to a 4k since I do not like the LED offerings. The LG OLED, however, is a definite step up even for a plasma user. The colors are incredible, the contrast and "blacks" are clearly an improvement, especially in my darkened theater room. I also picked the lower end model, since I have a killer sound system and wouldn't even be using the sound from the TV so why pay extra for it. Overall I am very impressed with this unit, and am glad I finally found something to replace my venerable plasma with.

I was between the 65”oled and a 75” “q”LED- I wanted the bigger size, but the oled price and availability for above 65” was silly, so I was considering the qLED 75. So far, very satisfied with the OLED decision and the picture- it is much better than my previous 2 year old 55” 4K LED.
Also, I was told that compared to the qLED, this tv would have a significant amount of glare (it was the in store Samsung rep that told me this). It does not have any more glare than my 55” LED. It is in a very bright room full of windows and it has not been an issue at all- although being on a slight tilt wall mount may help with that.
As an aside,
I was incredibly disappointed in bestbuy sales staff who tried to upsell me the 75” LED, when I told him I was trying to decide between size and picture quality. He kept telling me that the 75” qLED is ‘not an LCD screen’ and that qLED and OLED are the same technology with almost identical contrast ratios. His lack of basic understanding of the fundamentally different technologies is not good for a salesman in the TV department.

I'd give it a 4.75 or a 4.5 if I could, but it was definitely better than a 4 so I'm giving it a 5. Picture quality is just stunning, and the physical TV is beautiful as well. I upgraded from a 52 inch FHD plasma, and I'm very glad I went with OLED. Only thing I'd take points off for is the motion enhancements on the 2017 models aren't the best. Too many random judders with them on. I wouldn't use motion enhancements on most things I watch anyway though so it doesn't matter much to me, but if you want that, go with a 2018. Very easy to setup and use! If you are coming from a plasma, get an OLED, no doubt. If you're coming from an LCD, the new LCDs such as QLED are huge improvements, but I'd still recommend an OLED.

Our 8 year old Samsung plasma died one day, just displayed a white screen. I wanted to repair it but I was going on a work trip the following week and couldn't leave the family without a TV.
I loved our plasma because it had rich dark blacks, just like the Sony Trinitron tube TV it replaced. After seeing all the LCD and LED TVs, the blacks were just not rich enough for me. After seeing the OLED in the store, I knew that was the TV i wanted to get.
The 55" would've been exactly the same size as our old 50" plasma, but The 65" looked SO MUCH BETTER! The kids agreed, so we went with that one.
The apps on the TV seem to work quite well and allow watching 4K online content. The TV speakers are kind of lousy, but we use it with a home theater receiver.

I am so happy with my purchase. Wanted OLED, but the Sonys were so much more expensive than the LG. Got a great cyber Monday deal with 24 months zero interest. This set is fantastic. Exceeds expectations in every way. The OLED technology is a thing of beauty. Nice and bright and the black levels are perfection. Fast moving action in sports and video games produces zero blur. Can't say enough good things about this LG. No need to drop $1000 more on rhe Sony. You will not be sorry. If you're hooking this up with a surround sound receiver and speakers there is no need to spend extra on the models above the B7. The disolay and technology are identical in all of LG's OLED models. Enjoy, I know I am. Loving the X-box One on here and Fire TV 4K content. Make sure your AV receiver passes 4K and you have the "high speed" HDMI cables to get true 4K

The picture is excellent. My previous favorite was my Pioneer Kuro Plasma TV in picture quality. I also have a Sony 3D 240hz TV. This OLED tv has blown them both away. At first, I didn't like the mouse-cursor movement type of the remote control. But after a few uses, I like it better now than the traditional remote. I play home videos on the USB input and it plays a lot of different formats (AVI, MP4, etc). A nice feature on it is that you can zoom to a certain part of the picture and even record it. It saves it right on the same jump drive that's plugged in. The price is high for this TV but the best costs the most. With most flat panel TVs, you need a sound bar. This one is not too shabby without one.

Even without a 4K player or much available content, this upgrade was worth it. Ordinary DVDs and Blu-rays, cable broadcasts, and streaming are sharp, beautifully colored, and easy to watch. Even before upgrading my satellite system, it was a huge improvement over my 7yr old plasma (and I didn't think anything could beat the plasma's colors). Pay attention to set-up menu, and use a set-up disc or online guidance to dial in the best performance. Be aware that the prices listed in Best Buy's flyers and on their website are not always correct. This TV was $200 cheaper in the stores. Best Buy honored the store price at checkout without hesitation, even though I paid for it online.

This tv is the thinnest with the best picture tv out there. No reason to buy the $5000 model. They all have the same guts. I also like the wand remote. Very easy to pick up and navigate.
