The picture is too dark as compared to a SONY. I would get the 75” SONY HDR tv in lieu of the LG.

We went back and forth between the Samsung QLED and the LG OLED. Our biggest concern was that the OLED was allegedly better in a theater (dark) environment and our room is very bright. We were told by multiple sales people that the QLED is brighter and has less glare in bright rooms. THEY WERE WRONG! This might have been true on last year's models, but this year's models are significantly brighter. Wanting the better technology, we took a chance and ultimately went with the OLED. As it turns out, the OLED is phenomenal in any light and there is no more glare than any other TV! (Brightness can also be adjusted by turning energy saving "off.") We couldn't be happier with this OLED TV!
When we unpacked it, we were blown away by how thin it is, which was not a buying consideration but an added bonus.
The documentation on this and the Onkyo receiver we bought are junk! Virtually all the answers we needed were found on various help forums.
We could not be happier so far. We're just hoping it will last a decade.

OLED65B7P = Amazing viewing experience!!!

Coming from a Samsung home of television quality, we were looking to upgrade to a new 4K. Our interest went from the Samsung 8000k series to the 9000m series, and finally decided on a Qled 9. However, before actually pulling the trigger we added Oled's to the list.
The samsungs just didn't justify the money to compete with the Oled's. Now it was LG vs Sony and it came down to price and design, so LG was the winner. After purchasing this tv I have to say that I'm extremely impressed with the build quality and the design. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and the sound quality is very impressive.
Cable tv content looks great, streaming apps such as Netflix and 4K content are simply breathtaking. The tv has many options for adjustment as it should at this price point. The upscaling of content really improves the images. The colors, blacks and image quality are all amazing.
I highly recommend the LG Oled if you are looking for an amazing viewing experience. It offers many features and excellent video and sound. The screen is super thin and the build quality is superb. Pair it with a 4K audio receiver and host the next Super Bowl party!
After considering the model line we decided on the OLED65B7P as it offered the same stand and trim as the B7A but also included the same Dolby Atmos sound out of the box and speaker quality as the C7P.

Amazing Picture - WebOS just Okay

I have been looking at this TV for quite sometime. I finally pulled the trigger on a sale price of $2300. Picture is every bit as good as I hoped it would be. I also purchased a LG sound bar which works great with the TV remote. My only disappoint is lack of apps on WebOS. No HBO or Showtime streaming apps. It does have Plex but with limited functionality. No Playstation Vue either. Not a huge deal as I have a fire stick for that, but would have been nice to have all built in. It does have Netfix, Hulu, Amazon, Youtube all which look amazing. Despite the lack of apps, the TV still deserves 5 stars for its incredible picture, low profile, and ease of use.

Outstanding compared to my Vizio P 4k

Had a vizio P series and I thought it was the bees knees with its 4k hdr. Then I had some issues and had to replace, got this 4k HDR OLED display. I was and still am blown away by the difference. It was like going from ps3 to ps4 even though I was playing the same games. The colors are wildly better than the Vizio HDR as well as the input lag during HDR gaming. Best display on earth. The only reason this is cheaper than the C7 is bc this one doesn't have built in surround sound, but it still has surround sound pass through so you can still use whatever surround sound system you use. Worth the ridiculous price for sure.

This is the best TV I have owned, picture is FANTASTIC, with the blacks being true black the colors really are more striking even with 1080P non HDR content. Hard to say the best preset as it comes down to user preference and content being watched. Lots of picture settings to play with. Netflix 2160 HDR content really looks good, worth the 2$ extra a month, watching shows over again in 4K. Even YouTube 4K videos look amazing.

I had reviewed the QLED and OLED sets from Samsung and LG for about a year. While visiting the store the tech guys in the TV department laid it out for me... The OLED is a far superior TV than the QLED for numerous reasons.
The cost of the TV kept me away until the A series came out for less than $3,000. If you sign up for the BestBuy membership you will get $300 back. This TV for $2,700 is a good deal considering the quality of the picture.
I don't recommend many things on these sites, but I do recommend this TV.

This Oled TV has a great picture for both hd and sd source. price is high compared to my samsung LCD tv and the LCD has almost as good a picture. the operating system on the TV is not good, slow, and unresponsive, so I use a roku to stream content instead. sound is bad, you must have a sound bar. I would buy this if you have money to blow.

Just bought this yesterday but I'm loving it. The picture is amazing, especially with 4k content such as the new Apple TV (which I bought at the same time). Also great with FIOS cable, but Apple TV 4k content really pops.
The menus are okay - could be a little easier to use, but I'm getting used to them.
One catch with this TV - i highly recommend you turn off Energy Saver mode. It really dims the picture. We were trying it out and thinking "ugh, the picture is so dark", so I started flipping through the menus thinking I'd turn brightness up. But once I turned energy saver off the picture really brightened up and looked sharp (I don't want to save energy and watch a dark TV).
The LG Soundbar is a nice addition to this as well. When you bundle them, at least at the moment, you get $300 off and the sound is very impressive for a single "bar".

Best 4K for Xbox One X!

Bought this tv to replace my 3d Samsung 55. I didn't expect it to be so much bigger but it is huge! I did have to lay it down in my equinox to get it to fit for the ride home. There were no issues after a 30 min drive. Keep the screen facing up.
I really have gotten used to the pointer feature of the remote as well.
I hooked it up to Xbox One X and the picture and game play is simply perfect. No input lag. No screen tearing. UHD enhanced games look amazing. This was the best rated and most affordable 4K tv for Xbox One X. I am quite satisfied with this purchase at $2300. Setup was easy as well. there are several videos on calibrating the picture modes to get the most out of gaming with HDR and watching movies.

Dolby Vision/Atmos (GREAT)

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I almost didn't buy this model because when I compared it to a few other models it doesn't mention that it supports Dolby Atmos. Technically it doesn't with the built in speakers, but if you connect it to our AV Receiver using 4K HTMI Cable from the ARC HTMI output this OLED TV does support Dolby Atmos. The combination of Dolby Vision/Atmos is down right amazing to say the least. I also got this on sale at Best Buy for $2299 which is almost unheard of for a OLED TV. I did have to do an immediate update with it, but it was only one firmware update behind. The tag showed this TV was manufactured in Jan of 2018. The OLED panel is even in terms of grays and of course the full black is over the top. I had purchased an LG LED 2018 model and the ghosting around the whites and how the full array zones reacted to dark colors really drove me nuts. This OLED TV is absolutely the way to go. I am not worried about burn in because I monitor the channels with the tickers on them. This also has the screen shifting and when the TV is off it does some other magical refresh stuff to insure there is no image retention and burn it. Rtings.com did a lot of test on the burn in issue and stated that you would have to have the TV on a steady image for hours for days and days before it would actually burn in. There can be some imagine retention, but the pixel refresher will fix those. Honestly I've never been as happy with a TV as I am with this one. I have debated rather to buy the extended warranty from LG, of course it's through a different company. The LG warranty can be paid for on a flex plan over 3 months if necessary and they don't charge tax or interest.

My review of 2017 OLED65B7A Good the tv default setting is dark but once oled Light set off Of Auto The picture looks very good. Got this oled to A replace A old plasma 50' tv. See I research many 4k Led (lcd) tv’s the $ 999 Have subpar picture. Great tv up scale’s hdtv signals very good you Not need To upgrade to all 4k video gear right away. Tv has great picture Have Once you adjust picture settings you Like. I look into DirecTV 4k ch's require Hr 54 or later genie DVr. Consider A lg UP875 basic 4k replace A Old 1080P Blu-ray Players. Good tv it’s up to you like to get A better 65’ Lg oled is rated better Just have to pay more money.

Recently picked up the 65 inch b7. It’s a beautiful tv, and the smart apps work very well . But this tv is below average for hd cable/ directv hd, etc. Let me explain, since this is a 4k tv, your tv must take a source of 720p or 1080i, and scale that to the TVs native resolution. The scaler in this tv is below average , and unless you have a really good source , the picture quality suffers , compared to its competitors . For example , fox broadcast most of their football games in 720p , so you end up with an image, where your losing a lot of detail .
For Netflix , or uhd 4k movies , I would highly recommend this tv. The blacks and contrast are stunning, but if you plan to watch a lot of broadcast tv, I wouldn’t recommend this tv, which is why ultimately I ended up returning this tv , for a Sony 930e. The Sony looks great with nearly all content you throw at it , due to the ultimate x1 scaler chip they include in that tv. Also, Sony TVs, handle motion much better (less judder and soap opera effect ) .
The last thing I would caution everyone on , is to read up on burn in, on the LG Oleds . Nearly all channels these days have bright static images that display while your watching tv. Depending on how bright you run your oled light , and how much you watch a particular station , will determine how fast burn in will appear . I’m not trying to run this tv down , but burn is is very real on these sets , and Lg will not cover this under their warranty . Here is a thread if you would like to read up on the issue .

Absolutely no complaints, the visuals of the TV are at a the next level. If you don't have an exterior sound the interior sound is decent enough. The colors and the blacks are just amazing!
