Purchased this TV 6 years ago. Overall, I've been very happy with it. It has a great picture and great connectivity (except no HDMI ARC). My only complaint is the picture is starting to show signs of going out, after 6 years. Seems like it should last longer, but I guess that's how contemporary electronics are now.

HDR/Dolby Vision looks ridiculous on this tv. Images jump off the screen with detail.

Amazing picture quality. 4k is jaw dropping and even older 1080p footage looks amazing with the 120hz refresh rate.
Gaming on the Xbox One X is gorgeous on this TV too! The X is also used as my 4k blue ray player and paired with my Denon sound bar it's like having a movie theater at home!
I upgraded from a 7 year old 42" Plasma and am 1000% satisfied with the purchase. Worth every dollar.

After researching for a month, reading every review and finally deciding on the LG OLED, I couldn't be happier. The picture is so lifelike, crisp, clear, like your at the theater. I've added a Sony 4K 1200Watt 7.2 receiver and a Sony 4k Blue ray player. Replace all hdmi with 20 gps 4K HDMI CABLES. Once I upgrade to Klipsch speakers, my home theater will be set.

I am staying up past 2 am streaming 4k bc the picture is ridiculously awesome. I can't stop watching. A bit pricey but worth every penny imo. I had to get drunk to make the purchase just because I can't handle spending this much sober. First time I never got buyers remorse. Can't wait to see how the new Xbox one x shows up on the screen.

This is by far my favorite TV on the market, after weeks of research and looking up people's impression, this was my best choice for my $2,300 budget. The Picture quality is Cinema Like when watching 4k/Dolby Vision content, paired with a LG sj9 for a great home cinema experience, both are highly recommended.

Simply put, this TV is amazing. The picture is absolutely stunning. I'm so happy I spent the extra money over a the other two options I was considering in the $2K price range. It's also future proof as well. Easily one of the best, if not the best TV on the market. Buy it.

In two line, if you want perfect black levels and good picture quality go for it. Dont worry about burn ins. TV have screen saver feature to avoid image retention. IF you need brighter image than good picture quality , Go for QLED.

I'm used to buying Samsung TVs but after seeing the picture on the LG B7A it is the best picture what so ever. I really like this TV and the image is so clear. Buy this or the LG C7P.

Pixel Refresher Doesn't Repair Burn-In!
Posted .

I'm a long-time console video gamer. Over the last 20+ years, I've exclusively purchased Samsung televisions. They're always been reliable televisions years after purchase, but Samsung's engineering decision in recent years to adopt the One Connect caused me to decide to roll the dice with a LG OLED television purchase.
I don't know if all OLED televisions are susceptible to permanent image burn-in, but this particular model of LG OLED certainly is. Although this television has a Pixel Refresher feature for repairing pixels, it doesn't successfully correct image burn-in.
I haven't watched much television or film on this device, but I have logged many hours using it as a display for PS4, Xbox One S, and Switch video games. Nearly all video games have Heads-Up Displays (HUDs). And, in most cases, these graphical display assets are fairly static and often quite opaque. When displayed on LED televisions for hundreds/thousands of hours, I can vouch that HUDs don't cause image burn-in. However, when playing video games on an OLED, I can attest that permanent image burn-in is present after only a handful of play sessions.
If/when I get around to upgrading to an 8K television in the next few years, it's most likely NOT going to be an OLED product.

The screen went out 20 days(wont turn on and makes a loud buzzing sound) after I got it from Best Buy. Now I have to wait till a tech comes out to check a week later. Its a absolutely beautiful picture. If I had know this happens on this particular model, I wouldnt have got it. I have always bought LG. Maybe its just because its OLED vs regular 4k.

Saved several hundred bucks just waiting on Black Friday Morning to buy it. If your internet speed is 25 MBPS the TV will easily stream UHD, and will confirm it the moment it links up ! With the built in web browser you can watch full screen web videos or live streaming with no issues. Netflix never looked better, jaw dropping great!

Great TV when it works

I am so disappointed. I purchased my LG 65 inch OLED January 2018. The tv worked fine until today 6-10-2019. The one year warranty is up but I purchased the two year protection plan. I will be calling Best Buy tomorrow and request service. Hopefully it is something they can fix easily. This is the first tv I have ever had problems with so soon. Will not buy LG again.

Permanent Burn-In in less than 1 year

I loved this TV. Amazing blacks. Great colors. Plenty fast smart-tv options. However, these TV's get burn-in super easy. Even just watching a channel with bright colors often will do it. It has screen-saver that comes on and the panel shuts itself off if idle for a long time but it doesn't help. LG wouldn't help me as I was 1 day over my 1-year warranty and now I have read that others that have these burn-in-issues as well :(

Slowly gets worse

I used to really like this tv. It’s still really nice as far as the picture goes but the smart features and apps have been slowly getting worse over time. My YouTube app now has Asian letters on my menu, keeps disconnecting from the internet and gets slower to use every year. I have a lot of lg products. This tv is a disappointment after the few years of ownership where I’ve bought another device to use as the smart part of the tv.

I bought this from Best buy right after christmas 2017. 3 months later and the screen is 100% dead. When I researched this TV I read about the issues but thought, every product has problems, ill be fine. Well its not. Customer service has been a joke, called on a Friday, they told me that a technician would contact me the next day....nothing. Call LG customer support again Tuesday and LG asks that I call the technician, so I call and the technician tells me they declined the word order as they no longer serve my area and LG should have notified me. So call LG back, about 20 min on hold where I have to provide the number of the original technician because they dont seem to have it, they confirm the information is correct and now I have to call a second technician. So I call and he tells me he is not in the office and needs to check on some things before we can set an appointment. I am beyond upset at the run around. So buyer beware, you might not think it will happen to you, but if it does, its a miserable experience and I still do not know when or how long this will take to be fixed, or if it can be fixed.
