    Failed After a Year

    We've had this dyer for about a year and it stopped drying the clothes. I (thankfully) bought the extended warranty, which is a whole different story. It took a week for the repair guy to come out and he said it needs a new gas regulator. He also said it's a common problem, and it would take 7 to 10 days for the part to come in. My Maytag lasted 15 years with no issues. I bought the LG to match the washing machine. I'm not looking forward to being without a dry for 2-3 weeks every year when this reoccurs. Very disappointed.

    8 months into it and the dryer is not working, When we turn it on we smell gas fumes. Gas company connfirmed there is no gas leak but the automatic senser is malfunctioning. Using the manual feature still produces gas fumes.

    The drier takes 15 minutes longer to dry a load than the old one.

    This dryer makes tons of noise and rattling sounds. It does not sensor dry. I always have to add 20 minutes additional to get the clothes dry. Not sure if this is how they all are or if mine is defective. Wouldn’t buy again.

    Factory defect

    Gas heat exchange didn't work out of the box. Hooked it up DIY, spent wasted time troubleshooting the problem ran diagnostics several times only to have the dryer two me there's no gas. I swapped flex hoses which was more money and more time. Same issue persisted. Called customer service only to tell me they can't get the same dryer for another 2 weeks. Also had someone come out from best buy to confirm my suspicion. More wasted time/day. I had to settle for an electric dryer instead, because we needed a dryer asap. We already waited over a week for the gas dryer to be delivered.

    The door is designed to open either left or right, depending on which side of the washer the dryer is installed. We paid for delivery and installation and they installed it with the door opening the wrong way (so the door is in the way when transferring clothes from the washer to the dryer). They wanted an extra $129 for the 2-minute task of correcting the door swing.

    Brand new unit and it quit heating up the first day. The gas valve seems to be working intermittently. Now I have to wait for a replacement unit to be delivered. By the way, I bought the matching washer at the same time. It didn’t work either. Luckily I was able to fix it. I had to open up the back panel to find out that the water pump wasn’t plugged into the harness.

    Not worth the money. Better than it’s washer counterpart so not a complete disaster. It could certainly do without the useless smart features that make it run indefinitely.

    Please do not for the love of god buy this dryer. It's been nothing but a pain. LG's customer service is the worst. They took over a month to figure out what part to use. Finally, I just got a replacement and now 2 months later, that one is having the same issue as the original one. Please save yourself the headache and buy something else.

    Did not work, it kept throwing a gas code and there was nothing wrong with the gas connection. Returned it and exchanged for an electric LG and it is amazing.
