I purchased this dryer on July 20, 2022. This dryer began malfunctioning on November 24, 2024, and was leaking gas into my home due to an internal part within the dryer. It cost $178 to get the dryer diagnosed and would have been approximately $600 more to repair. I would not recommend buying this dryer.

Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the LG Dryer (DLG6101W) model. We understand how important it is for your dryer to stay reliable over time, and we appreciate your feedback. If your unit is experiencing igniter issues, one helpful step is to check whether the dryer is receiving proper gas flow and that the lint filter and exhaust vent are clear. Restricted airflow can sometimes cause heating components to work harder than intended. You can also run the FlowSense diagnostic feature built into your model to detect venting problems that may affect performance. For more support, the https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-DLG6101W.ABWEEUS includes maintenance tips and troubleshooting guides that may help extend the life of your dryer.

At the time of receiving this to review on 12/29 , the dryer hadn't been even installed yet (purchased 12/4). It took 3 attempts to finally get the dryer installed because of the inadequate system Best Buy has with resolving issues and scheduling installation. As of 1/2 have not used the dryer yet.

Hi, Don. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the LG Dryer ( DLG6101W) model. We understand your concern about your clothes that are consistently coming out damp after drying. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations.
One troubleshooting step to try is ensuring that the lint filter and vent hose are thoroughly cleaned. A clogged vent can prevent the dryer from circulating air properly, which can lead to damp clothes even after a full cycle. Also, check the venting system to make sure there are no blockages or kinks that could restrict airflow.

Additionally, try adjusting the drying cycle based on the type of fabric you're drying. Some cycles may work better for heavier loads, while others are optimized for lighter materials. Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us regarding your LG DLG7001W Gas Dryer. We understand your inquiry and want you to know that your concerns are important to us.

Although the model you've mentioned is a dryer, and it sounds like the issue is related to a leaking washer, we still want to make sure you’re fully supported. If your washer is leaking, we recommend checking the inlet hoses and drain hose connections to ensure they are secured properly and not damaged. Also, make sure the unit is level and that no detergent is overused, which can lead to excess suds and leaks.

I used Best Buy for my installation. The team dropped off the dryer and left—really 15 minutes to get an old dryer down two flights and a new one up and connected. The connection to the vent was not done at all—I thought there was something wrong with the way it worked, so I called the vent cleaner. He confirmed that the installers did not connect it correctly and it will not exhaust right. So, I don’t know how the dryer works, because it wasn’t installed correctly. Hope Best Buy can help me.
