Having such a hard time with this dryer. Seems there is a glitch when I put the heavy duty setting on. It's stops mid way. I never can dry on one cycle. I feel the dryer that I replaced this for was better (even while broken). Not happy with this product.

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Dryer (DLG7001W) model. We understand your concern about dealing with a malfunction, especially when the Heavy Duty setting isn't working properly. We strive to provide high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. Here are a couple of troubleshooting steps you can try: Ensure that the vent and exhaust duct aren’t clogged, as poor airflow can cause the dryer to stop early to prevent overheating. If the load is too large or unbalanced, it may cause the dryer to stop mid-cycle. Try reducing the load size or redistributing the items for a more even balance. Sometimes, performing a simple reset by unplugging the unit for a few minutes can help clear any glitches in the system. For more information, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-why-does-my-dryer-turn-off-abnormally--20150485215101. If the issue persists, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport. Our team will be more than happy to assist you with additional troubleshooting or arrange for a technician to take a closer look.

We’re here to ensure that you get the best performance from your dryer, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work through this. ^Juvy LG

    Doesn’t dry clothes

Doesn’t dry the clothes Has a sensor that detects when clothing is “dry” and turns off automatically regardless of timer. I have to frequently check the clothes to make sure they are dry multiple times through one load. This item was returned. Not sure if I got a faulty dryer or if they’re all like this. Replaced for a Maytag Best Buy was very good with setting up a return and offering a repair but I chose to replace the dryer which was also very effectively set up

Hi, Melissa. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Dryer (DLG6101M) model. We really appreciate you letting us know about the wrinkling and drying performance.

A good first step is to give the Easy Iron or Wrinkle Care option a shot. It tumbles your clothes a bit after the cycle ends to help reduce those wrinkles. And for better drying performance, just make sure the lint filter and exhaust duct are nice and clear, since any blockage can make drying take a bit longer. You can find more guidance here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-troubleshooting-wrinkle-clothes--1337625976471. I purchased this dryer on July 20, 2022. This dryer began malfunctioning on November 24, 2024, and was leaking gas into my home due to an internal part within the dryer. It cost $178 to get the dryer diagnosed and would have been approximately $600 more to repair. I would not recommend buying this dryer.

For 1 load of low clothes I try to dry it 3 times. I don't think this is a Energy-efficient dryer. I called best buy someone is coming on August 09 to check.

Waited over a week for the delivery. Dryer was set up and would not turn on. Delivery team would not take it back. Had to wait over a week for a service appointment. LG advised there is an electrical issue. Service appointment required before replacing. Will end up being a month before getting a dryer. Bought a new dryer will not accept a refurbished dryer.

Hi, Davhus. Thanks for sharing your experience with the LG Dryer (DLG6101W) model. We understand how important it is for your dryer to deliver consistent results—especially when it comes to fully drying your clothes.

If you ever encounter similar issues, we recommend checking the drying cycle settings and ensuring the Sensor Dry feature is properly calibrated. For heavier fabrics or mixed loads, using the Manual Dry or Timed Dry setting can help improve results. Also, make sure the lint filter and exhaust vent are clear to support optimal airflow. At the time of receiving this to review on 12/29 , the dryer hadn't been even installed yet (purchased 12/4). It took 3 attempts to finally get the dryer installed because of the inadequate system Best Buy has with resolving issues and scheduling installation. As of 1/2 have not used the dryer yet.
