The price was right and it is a nice simple to operate machine. Basically just drop the cloths in and push the start button. It has the base settings for different size loads and types of garments from normal to very delicate. My wife loves it.

However... It takes a long time to get the clothes dry if you are on a lower heat setting than med/high. For example: It takes almost 3 hours to dry clothes on the Med/Low setting (Which most clothes manufacturers recommend). One other con is that the door does not swing out 180 degrees. Minor, but still annoying.

I would say that it needs to be put on the heavy duty setting for drying because the clothes are still damp on the normal setting. Otherwise I love this dryer.

My last clothes dryer lasted 28 years and we sold it in good shape when we bought this LG dryer to match the LG washer. I hope this dryer last that long. It is easy to use and I have no problem. Nice size. The only confusing thing was the door which opens from the side and also from the top but from the top only opens half way - and that is the way it is made. I thought it opened all the way when I bought it - the salesperson should have explained the operation of the door better.

The sensor does a good job of completely drying the clothes. Our old unit would stop at 90% and we always had to add another 10-15 minutes.
