We've had this unit for just over six months. While it works well as other commenters have noted, ours continually "eats" or "catches" drawstring cords on shorts, pants, shirts, and then destroys the item while creating a crazy tangled mess of clothes. The dryer has absolutely destroyed about 10 pieces of clothing and harmed many others. We are going to initiate a return because there is a design flaw somewhere in this unit.

After spending $2800, I had really hoped that I would love this new washer & dryer set. Unfortunately, I do NOT!! Quite the opposite. The clothes come out of the washer dirtier than they went in and covered in pet hair. Then when taking them out of the dryer, the pet hair is in big clumps all over the clothes instead of being caught in the lint trap. We have to vacuum the pet hair off of our dress clothes!! My previous 19 year old washer & dryer cleaned the clothes 100 times better than this new set. So now I am stuck with a washer & dryer that I hate!! I DO NOT recommend any one purchase this expensive set, if you want clean clothes!!

The dryer started rattling after 2 weeks. I’ve been on hold for over 30 minutes after a dedicated costumer service rep was reaching out to LG to see how to remedy the situation. I doubt they will return to the call now that it is after hours.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Best Buy. I recently purchased a washer and dryer, and due to their scheduling system requiring a delivery window of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, I had to take the entire day off work to receive the delivery.
When the delivery team arrived (who were courteous and professional), they only brought the washer. I was shocked to learn the dryer was not included in the delivery — and worse, there was absolutely no communication beforehand to inform me of this. Had I known, I would have rescheduled the delivery to a more convenient time.
I’ve always gone out of my way to purchase appliances from Best Buy, especially as a Totaltech/Total Rewards member, but this experience has made me question the value of that membership. A simple notification could have saved me a wasted day and a lot of frustration. Very disappointing.

Dear BestBuy managers,
Almost three months ago, I purchased an LG washer and dryer that were supposed to be among the best on the market. All I can say is that I am very dissatisfied with my purchase. The washer does not clean as it should; it leaves my clothes somewhat dirty. And as for the dryer, it not only fails to remove all the pet hair, but the fabric softener sheets I use also get stuck in the drum's openings, which are supposed to efficiently expel hair and lint.
It’s unacceptable that I spent nearly two thousand dollars on these two machines and am experiencing worse performance than the machines I had before. What I am requesting is the replacement of both machines with ones that are more effective and intelligent.
I hope to hear from you soon. I plan to visit my local BestBuy store in Vallejo, CA, to seek a resolution to my dissatisfaction.
