LG claims it is normal, but it isn't. I have never had this issue with any of my old dryers until now. My old LG dryer worked great, but the new model is faulty.

So I use the speed dry and just adjust the minutes and it does what it needs to do. Love the look and the color.

Delivery and set up from Best Buy were great and as I've figured out what settings will achieve my particular drying needs at the time I've come to love the new dryer more and more.

It would turn on and run like normal, but the heat would not ignite. It has a year warranty. I called LG and went through their initial testing. Then they told me i needed someone to certifiy my gas was working properly and had the correct pressure. They refused to pay for this test and refused to consider sending anyone till after testing. I refused to pay for that service since my other gas appliances were working perfectly. They didnt care. I tried speaking to a supervisor. After waiting on hold for a half hour, I was told the supervisor would call me back. I’ve bought multiple LG products after glowing endorsements from Best Buy staff. But that experience wasted so much of my time and i was constantly shuffled from one rep to another, who all appeared to be at foreign call centers. I’m so disappointed.

Had to have gas so my options were limited, glad it worked out.
