This particular dryer has done more than expected. We recently upgraded our washer and dryer and went with this particular unit. It has setting’s that our previous unit didn’t have, especially the one to get out wrinkles. It has saved me a ton on taking my garments to a dry cleaner. I would highly recommend this unit!!

Was not looking for a sophisticated dryer, just the essentials. The price was good and my friends that have LG have been very happy. I also was very happy with Best Buy because you could set up an appointment with them. Very well done Best Buy! They also installed which only took like 30 minutes.

We had a terrific experience at the Best Buy Store and our delivery was on time and the delivery team was excellent. My wife and I are thrilled with our purchase and would definitely buy household appliances from BestBuy in the future.

This is my first LG laundry set. We last owned a Samsung, Front Load set, that was top of their product line. We decided to go back to a top load washer and this house required a gas dryer. The washer has a sensor feature that seems to often cut short the “normal” cycle for clothing, but the opposite for sheets, etc. The gas dryer has the same issue that my Samsung unit did. The “sensing feature” shuts the dryer off, but the clothes are typically still damp. Bottom line, not overly impressed.

I like my new dryer, but its installation is not yet complete. When it was delivered to the house, the driver could not take the cap off the gas line and left the drying uninstalled. We had to hire someone to hook up the gas and make the machine operable. When we had another appliance delivered, the driver was to change the door so that it would open the opposite way. He said that he did not know how to do it, that it was a more complicated process and he had never done it, that his boss would have to come out and switch the door. We have not yet heard from anyone coming to complete the project.

The only reason I gave a four star, is the door on pull down does not go all the way down flat. I am still learning how to use all of the cycles. The Perma press cycle is set up for 32 minutes, which is too short. So far I like this dryer.

My wife is extremely excited with this model dryer. A load of towels or sheets is dried in 1/2 the time as the last Samsung front loader (which granted was about 10 years old). I a remiss to say i wish we would have bought the model that has the steam options, but this has been a home run otherwise.

For how expensive these are I expected to love it. Unfortunately it only dries clothes if you have it run hot (and it is gas so it runs really hot). On any of the damp sensing settings it leaves clothes wet. Even if I put small loads in. Always still damp until I run a quick dry and nearly burn them. I wish I had just bought a simple dryer for less money. Also without setting WiFi up you can’t get it to do some settings like cool air on normal etc. I will say the door opening from both top and side is a nice feature.

Started well. Drys very good. - however making a weird noise last couple of week. I am still within warranty- planning to call customer Service

I bought this model for 3 reasons: reviews, capacity and wi-fi connectivity. As a dryer it runs to hot. I set it on medium heat and it shrunk clothes that had been washed many times before. I now run everything on low. Do it yourself programming is tough and it still switches to the sensor. That means if you want clothes to actually be dry you have to turn the sensor all the way up to it's highest level. When you choose one of the preprogrammed settings it locks down many drying options. But overall it is a decent dryer. Capacity is enormous so it passes that test. Wi-fi is extremely difficult to set up. I'm computer savvy and able to network older devices that don't set themselves up on a network. This product is not smart at all. The instructions to set it up are a complete joke. In fact there are different instructions on in the manual than there are on the website. And there's 2 different non-conforming sets on the web. The furthest I was able to get in the setup was learned on YouTube by a Brit. But alas, still no connectivity. I have reached out to LG in multiple methods: chat, email, phone. The only time I received any kind of support was on the phone but he admitted he could not provide the support I needed. That it was an SmartThinQ app problem and I needed to contact them. I have called and sent 3 emails. NOTHING!!!! Absolutely no response or customer service has been provided. I will never purchase another LG product again. It dries clothes but advertised features do not work. If you insist on buying LG then go with a model that does not claim to be smart and stick one that simply dries your clothes.

Happy with the dryer. Took a few times to get the delivery right, but that’s no one’s fault.

I just absolutely love love love my dryer. It is so easy to use. When the dryer runs, you can barely hear it. The cleaning of the vents are easy and its overall efficiency is a 10. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

It's hard for me to review the dryer at this point - the crew who came to deliver and install my washer and dryer were great about bringing them down to my laundry room - but then told me they weren't allowed to install my gas dryer because it hadn't been listed on their sheet from the dispatcher - even though it was clearly marked on my purchase receipt. So while they plugged it in and hooked up the main hose, they never did hook up the gas, so my dryer still doesn't actually work. I think once all is fixed I'll recommend the dryer - just not Best Buy to install it.

Dual opening door needs to be better written about in the user manual. LG very good about addressing my desire to change the door swing from left to right to right to left, they do this service with no charge as a complimentary service.

Only thing I have seen that I don’t love is the door that opens is plastic and seems a little cheaply made. Love how it opens 2 ways but a little hard to open. Overall, I would definitely still buy it. I haven’t used any of the bells and whistles.

We had purchased the matching washer a couple of years ago due to all the trouble we were having with a whirlpool front loader. We liked the washer so much, we decided to invest in a LG dryer as well. So far, so good.

The LG dryer has a double set of hinges which makes it very convenient to put the washed clothes from the Washer into the dryer and then pullout the dried clothes. The settings are intuitive and effective.

Love this dryer! It’s large capacity is just what my family needed. It dries the clothes the first time and no need to run it through the system a 2nd or 3rd time like our old dryer.

Will update review after some use. Looks fantastic WiFi Connection out of the box did not work. The default unit password did not work using a zero or letter O. Wasted time not sure having WiFi on a washer is worth it. Will update after some use.
