We have had this dryer for a month now and I am loving it. we also bought the matching washer. They replaced a set we have had for 9 yr. So far it works great and is very quiet. It dries super fast and the steam cycles are very nice to have and work great. We are a family of 6 so I do a lot of laundry. Its a large dryer and can hold a lot of clothes which cuts down on time spent on doing laundry. The only downside I have seen so far is we need to move the vent to come out of the side instead of the back and haven't been able to find the parts to do that.

Large capacity with lots of drying modes. I really love the smart drying technology that is able to sense how dry your laundry is and stop the cycle in order to not overdry, which saves time, money, energy, and the life of your clothes. I really like the steam function: If you need to refresh your clothes, just toss them in with a dryer sheet and fill the water tank and in 20 minutes, they are wrinkle-free and smelling fresh. The only downside is that you have to refill the water tank, unlike the Samsung models that are plumbed into the water supply and never have to be refilled. All said, though, this is a really great unit. Really quiet and not bad on the eyes.

I have to include a portion of my review of the matching washer below before I comment on the dryer: After a LOT of research my wife and I decided we would get the Electrolux primarily because that front loader is the only one with a reversible door. We just bought a new house and for some reason the typical position of the washer and dryer was reversed so the two doors opened against each other creating a wall between the washer and dryer. The price of the electrolux, however, became more of an issue and we decided to just suck it up, buy a different brand and deal with the door issue. I'm so glad we did! We purchased the LG (it's really what we wanted) along with the matching dryer. While the delivery guys were there I asked on a whim if it would be possible to just install them in the opposite manner that would put both doors opening out and they said, "Sure." Wow! These guys had the proper length of hose and dryer vent and they are positioned properly and I haven't even gotten to how well they work. FYI, we bit the bullet and went ahead and bought the pedestals for the pair. these things are WAY overpriced (much like eyeglass frames. I never understood why those things are so expensive. I'm in the wrong business) but they really do make a big difference in the overall washing experience, as it were. Now for the feature I didn't know this thing had. After installing the dryer and drying my first load of laundry I noticed that it took a really long time for the clothes to dry. It was upsetting considering how much I had just spent for the pair. I noticed that the dryer would shut off and that there is an indicator on the front that lit up and an error code. Okay, I'll turn over the cards. The feature is called FlowSense and what I didn't realize is that it senses if there's an obstruction in the dryer vent. It even tells you what percentage of obstruction it is and then it will shut off to prevent a possible fire due to lint buildup. I just bought the house and it looks like the people who owned it before NEVER cleaned out the dryer vent ducting. I purchase a lint eater and cleaned out the ducting myself. Hooked up the dryer and it works like a champ! This is a great feature that could very well even save lives and property. I work for the fire department so this sort of thing is always on my radar. You really can't go wrong with this dryer. It's large enough to dry a king-sized comforter with no problem and it also has the pleasant melody that plays when the cycle is complete. BTW, both the washer and dryer have drum lights you can turn on and off during the cycle. Love these things!

I love this machine! You can fit a huge load of wet clothes. It's quiet and sings a pretty tune when done. Also love the steam feature (as I'm no ironer). Had the machine for about 2 years now, no problems, still love it!

Who likes to actually do laundry? No one...usually. But with this new Dryer I am actually excited to get it done! We just had this duo installed and couldn't be happier. The price was amazing for what it is and I've been recommending it to friends nonstop. It is extremely quiet and we can even watch TV in the next room with the doors open and barely hear a thing coming out of the laundry room. We haven't used the rack yet but that is a cool feature. Have washed a bunch of bedding successfully, king and queen size, and also the steam function, which I like. Most of all, I LOVE the hand wash feature. I recently used that on a bunch of dry clean only blouses and my husbands work shirts and they came out as if they'd been dry cleaned! The money saved on that feature alone rather than going to a cleaners is totally worth it. I also must say how nice the installation men were, very knowledgeable and took time and precision to unpack the units and load them in. Best Buy even called an hour later to make sure everything went well and was up to our standards. A++++ for service and quality of product.

The clothes come out of the dryer smelling wonderful. You have to know that my old dryer was about 20 years old. I think it didn't regulate the temp at all. So I really love all the settings and choices you have. Huge loads, no problem. Wrinkle Care is great, Steam option awesome. Very quiet. I got a display model with full warranty and it was much cheaper. Love the grey color. Happy!!!

We replaced our 30-year old Whirlpool washer and dryer after the dryer had started to operate erratically. After studying reviews decided on the LG models we wanted. This model was a level up from the one wanted, but it was on sale for a good price and we didn't think we could wait any longer before the old dryer totally failed. We have had them a little over a month and so far we are totally pleased with no regrets.

I owned a LG dryer at my previous home and loved it. The new owners liked it so much they bought it from me. We downsized and I don't have the space for the larger LG dryer so I decided to purchase this model. It is exactly what I need and works great! Love my new dryer.

Really good dryer overall, with some quirks

First of all, the best thing about this dryer is that it is massive and holds even the biggest loads. It can dry anything we throw in there without an issue. However, the "download cycle" feature that lets you program a cycle on an app on your phone and scan that via NFC to the dryer is next to useless. The only positive to the NFC is remote diagnosis via the app, if it's having a problem. The other quirk is that it does not remember the last cycle type used, meaning you have to spin the electronic dial around until you get back to it. In the end, I would still purchase this dryer again. It does excel at it's main task.

I've only had this dryer for two weeks, but thus far I'm thrilled with the suite of LG laundry items I purchased. This dryer can handle huge loads of laundry (as can the washer). It's VERY quiet. It looks great! I'm NOT an ironer, so I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the steam.

Good dryer, very functional. Big capacity. I can use it to dry my king size down comforter. Just one concern, the manual book didn't explain the purpose of each function. I don't know what "freshen up" does. It is not like the manual of washer, it explains much clearly.

I was a bit skeptical that I didn't need a water hookup for the steam part of this dryer but the skepticism was dispelled upon installation. You simply load a water container and insert it in to a drawer on the dryer just like you load detergent in the washer. It uses only about half the capacity for a stem cycle that's done well for us (5-person family). Capacity is large and comes with a rack to put things like shoes, hats, etc on and dry those as well. Bonus: Any time the "I'm done" tone plays, my 2 year old stops whatever he's doing and dances. Personally I find it a tad bit annoying and miss the days of buzzers you could hear wherever you were in the house.

So far perfect dryer. Bought the matching set and my wife could not be happier. From sales to delivery, it could not have been better. In our opinion Best Buy is the leader in appliances. We went to Best Buy after we shopped all the other. By far Best Buy lived up to the "Best" in their name.

I have not owned the dryer long but it works like a dream. Once the load has been selected you cannot change the setting unless you turn off the machine. The dryer is quite large so it can dry a large comforter without issue. It contains the sensor and steam dry. I have not used the steam function as of the time of this review. The sensor is quite sensative. If the sensor is tripped the dryer will cool down and turn off and alarm to let you know there is an issue. I love this dryer and I am so thankful it was on sale when I purchased it. This is truly a great buy.

Love the capacity of the dryer. Lots of settings to choose. I have had a hard time drying bulky things though; the dryer shuts itself off no matter what setting I have it on. (I was washing pillows and had to let them air dry to finish drying). Otherwise, no complaints!

Does everything it promises. Drys our laundry quickly and efficiently. It does fit our king comforter but we had trouble getting it to dry all the way because we had nothing else in with it.
