This TV is next level. The colors are vibrant and realistic, the blacks are deep, and WOW is this thing bright! The only thing I don’t like is how clunky the UI is. I feel like it should be a lot easier to change inputs.

I upgraded to the 83" LG G5 OLED from a 77" LG C1 OLED, and the difference is immediately noticeable. The C1 was already an excellent TV, but the G5 feels like a real flagship upgrade: bigger, brighter, sharper, and far more impactful with HDR content. The picture quality is stunning. Black levels are perfect, colors are rich without looking fake, and HDR highlights have a level of punch that older OLEDs simply did not have. Dolby Vision movies look incredible, especially in a dark room, and the extra brightness makes this TV much better for daytime viewing than previous OLEDs I have owned. The size is also a major part of the experience. At 83 inches, this TV turns a living room into a real home theater. Wall-mounted with the One Wall Design, it looks extremely clean and premium. It is a serious piece of hardware, though, so installation is not something to take lightly. You definitely want help mounting it and you need to plan cables, wall placement, and accessories before getting it on the wall. Gaming is also fantastic. With HDMI 2.1 features, VRR, low input lag, and excellent HDR performance, this TV is perfect for PS5/Xbox/PC gaming. Movies, sports, music videos, and games all look incredible. My only advice is to take time setting it up properly. Turn off energy saving, use Filmmaker or Cinema modes instead of Vivid, and make sure your HDMI/eARC setup is correct. Once dialed in, the picture is phenomenal. Overall, this is easily the best TV I have owned. It is expensive, but if you want a true premium OLED home-theater experience, the LG G5 absolutely delivers. Visuals are great at night as well. Contains games comparable to the PS5, the size is a huge plus for me and gives the room a good quality view.

Best TV I've ever seen or owned. The LG G5 83" television is super sharp, very bright for OLED screen technology and has unmatched contrast and black levels. Some movies I've watched previously had dark scenes where I missed most of the action and watching them on this TV was like a new movie. Highly recommended, but it is very expensive.

I had a Sony 65 inch Oled and decided to replace it with a larger tv. After doing research I decided on the 83 inch LG G5 Oled. Wow! What a picture!!!!!! I am impressed by the quality of this tv. I noticed it is much brighter than my Sony which is great for daytime viewing. This tv may be a little more pricier than others I have looked at but I think it was well worth it. I added the LG soundbar system which greatly enhances the sound especially when playing 4K movies on my player.

Outstanding picture. Lives up to its numerous reviews. Definitely brighter than previous years. Recommend potential buyers compare this G5 LG with others of the same caliber and note the excellent differences.

The picture is absolutely amazing. Watching football was like being there. The big issue I have is the remote. The magic wheel is extremely touchy. My hands aren't that steady, so it bounces around and is virtually unusable. Other TV providers easily allow you to speak what you want to find but the LG version brings up a window at the bottom that basically is useless. I love the picture but hate the functionality.

The picture quality is amazing., Excellent sound quality. The brightness is crystal clear. I would definitely recommend this item. The split image is a plus.

The 83 inch LG G5 is the best tv I have ever owned, it is excellent. I have owned only master series Sony tvs in the past and still own and love them but they are five years old, so I decided to upgrade this year. Sony did not have a 83 inch OLED for 2025 so I looked at LG and saw that the new tandem panel with the Alpha 11 processor and brightness booster brought out a colorful three- dimensional look. I am now seriously considering buying the 97 inch G5 and putting the 83 inch G5 in the bedroom.

Once you’ve seen Oled nothing else compares to it. LG is simply the best of them all when it comes to Oled. True blacks and all colors are 100% accurate. You get what you pay for. Not cheap but well worth it.

Can't ask for more in a tv. It has an amazing picture and is brighter than my old CX version. Watching a movie on this large screen has the characters jumping out at you. Great value.

Absolutely remarkable TV. The picture quality is the best I have seen- blacks are true and colors are vibrant. This is the way content was meant to be consumed.

The g5 is a great tv. Incredibly bright for an oled and with great color. The ai personalized picture settings are a cool new feature too. I was lucky to get a good deal on an open box as this is a very expensive tv new.

Despite receiving 4 faulty panels in a row (dead pixels on each), Best Buy did a fantastic job working with me to resolve the issues. I would not have gone through all the trouble if this TV was anything less than the absolute spectacle that it is. I assume a bad batch from the factory or shipping mishap damaged the first shipment they received. Some things can't be helped, so I'm not deducting any stars for that.

I returned the LG G5 83 inch after I had technical problem after problem. The tv had a color banding issue, which has now been resolved for Film Mode but not for Game Mode. The tv blocked all DTS audio on my television and denied passing through to my Home Theater sound system. Backdraft is only in DTS, so you can't watch anything in DTS. Also my Plex.TV LG App kept crashing during tv shows and movies due to a cache issue that even the G4 has. I had the latest firmware and cleared my cache and refused to fix this. This tv needs more internal memory. Seriously fix this! And now the Panasonic Z95B came out and you can clearly see the LG G5 is bright but the black crushing is bad and shadow detail is horrible on this television. Way overpriced.

Huge upgrade from G1 interms of peak brightness and processing power. My only issue was mounting because it went in place of a G1 77 and the extra size (3 inches in heigh) ended up going on the top, so the TV shifter more up which made it slightly higher than G1 77.
