    We bought this to go along with an ASUS laptop we purchased. The setup was easy and my wife finds it quite easy to use. All she needs to do is attach the USB cable and she is ready to go.

    I was initially impressed with it's small size and clean design, but when I opened the CD tray I was appalled at the poor quality of the innards. It was difficult to press the blank DVD onto the spindle...the tray does not seem firm enough to accept any pressure. However, burning the file onto the DVD was successful. One last thing: there is no instruction manual anywhere in the box. I had to rely on my previous instincts regarding burning discs.

    The external unit solved the problem that i was having with my internal on a server, it worked really good and fast, i was able to install windows in less than 30 minutes using this unit.

    I purchased this drive as I am moving to laptops/tablets and Chromebooks that do not have built in DVD drive s. This is a very nice, compact package, great for mobility and it works well.
