I plugged this in and it worked with no problem. I downloaded the Cyberlink Media Software that came with it but don't think I needed to and haven't used it yet so can't comment on it.

This little guy is light, compact, and the perfect accompaniment to my new laptop. There are times when an optical drive is both helpful and necessary for the work I do. This one does the job and does it well.

I needed an external drive to download programs on my new lap top. Very easy to use! The only reason for not receiving 5 stars is I have not used all the functions it is designed for.

Needed an extra drive to duplicate & consolidate some case files on disc where an external drive or thumb drive was impractical. This fits the bill. It works as advertised and was economical and light weight.

I bought this device because my new laptop hasn't got a cd drive, and its light and slim and easy to use, quick setup and does everything I need it to do and a great value for the price

It's light weight, and runs fine, it's not super quiet though. I would buy it again, the price was right. And it just plugs in and works.

I like this DVD product, but just wish it was attach to the laptop and not sold separately. Just cause the product is not that expensive that they don't add this DVD to it. Other then that it is a good DVD.

I Bought this for a college student who had a computer without a DVD drive. This did the trick. Just plug in and play using the USB cord that was included.

Now that lighter computers don't include a DVD drive, I purchased this to install programs or watch movies. It's a simple USB connection and is simple to use

I got this because many laptops are not being made with it already built in which I realized as I was checking out. It works well and is much cheaper that the apple one. Save your money and get this one!

When I purchased my new laptop, I never bothered to see if it had a CD/DVD drive. I went shopping for an inexpensive drive and found what I needed. The unit hooked up and away I went. No problems to report.

The disk drive worked perfect for adding our printer. We haven't used it for anything else. I would recommend the product. Too bad we had to get it as an add on to our computer. It was priced perfectly.

My daughter's laptop didn't come with a built in CD drive. It worked great right out of the box. I was able to quickly upload programs on discs that my daughter would need for her schoolwork in college.

If you've recently purchased a new laptop sans the disc dive, do yourself a favor and buy this external drive. Easy install and use. You can't go wrong.

Bought a computer that did not have anywhere to insert discs, but this is an easy fix to that problem! Works very well.
