I use this for my surface pro. Since my surface pro doesn't have a disk drive, I got this one, it works on the surface, has a little trouble figuring out what you want it to do, but, it works.

This little drive fits easily/well into a laptop carry-case pocket, making it great for service runs to repair machines that have broken or obsolete vintage optical drives.

Easy to store anywhere, lightweight, and runs off computer battery, what more could you want!!

The Dvd is good, though the whole machine is too small, the price too is good, so far it very good , had no problems with it, and I hope it last for me.

A portable DVD writer I use for my laptop. I bought it to upload cds and other media to my laptop since it doesn't have a disk drive. It does what I bought it to do. Is that enough words Best Buy?

This is a great potable product with easy setup and with good price. LG needs to come up with a similar product that can work with USB 3.0 for speed.

I have used this now for about 3 weeks and have nothing but good to say. If you are looking for a external player/recorder, look no further! works great with my Mac Mini.

The DVD is easy to use and also easy to carry with the laptop; however I would recommend a portable case for transporting.

I got this little guy simply because I wanted to watch a dvd that came in from netflix and my regular dvd player was busted. It was the cheapest thing on the shelf and at the time I didn't even care that it doesn't support bluray or offer HD . I almost bought it back to the store after a few failed installation attempts...then I read the inclosed booklet. Now it works like a charm. Even after my youngest sat on it, it kept . I have yet to figure out how to link it directly to my tv but using my laptop as a middle man works so thats fine for now. Even if it craps out tonight I will still feel like I got my moneys worth

The external drive did everything it needed to do effortlessly. The price was right. However, I'm not so sure I like the fact that a drive didn't come with my new laptop.

Bought a new laptop and the top end ones don't come with a dvd drive. This works great via usb. Use it to burn cds to iTunes.

The drive works fine. The only problem is the software asks every time I turn the computer on if LG can access my computer. It's kinda of annoying.

No problems at all. Works as advertised. Pretty portable and works with my Surface Pro 3.

Feels a little cheap for metal. Fully functional, decent build, only requires one USB Port. Also works with Linux without any drivers necessary.

Apple does not come with a CD/DVD drive, so this is a necessary purchase. Works fine for movies, etc.

As far as I can tell, this is only hardware. You need to get software or a free media player to play the CDs or DVDs that are played using this disc drive. That wasn't the impression we were given in the store. After much confusion and a lack of technical support from the company (the automated service had hung up on me twice without explaining that it was after hours) I have downloaded a media player. I have not had the renewed interest to test the compatibility and usability of the disc player and the media player app I downloaded.

This disc drive is so easy to use and very convenient for school. I have a lot of programs I have to have on my computer and this drive allows me to do so with ease!

Good disc player and burner. I was afraid it would be slow because it was small but it works in a very timely fashion!

This was a great low-cost alternative to Apple's over-priced option. No problems as plug and play, and we can use it with our Surface Pro as well.
