I wanted a peripheral disk player on my Lenovo laptop. This fit my needs. Low cost. Just plugged it in, it found drivers on Windows 8.1, and it was good to go. I did not use it to play movies so I have nothing to report about that. I used it to view pictures and load some SW disks. It also worked on my daughters Dell laptop with Windows 8.1. Once again, just plug it in and it's good to go.

This is a good product-and the item was a good value for the price. It works--and is quite efficient.

It's an external dvd drive. It performs admirably as such. It does not however do well as a frisbee.

Able to watch dvds on my laptop and my Smart tv. much more convenient than bulky regular dvd players!

I bought this optical drive to carry with a Lenovo Yoga 2. It is extremely thin and light so it is easy to travel with.

good external hard drive for the price, have only used it a couple of times so far but it has worked as expected thus far.

Product was good except it was not compatible with my chrome book. Too bad I couldnt keep it.

It's nice but it was a pain to set up. I don't use it much due not knowing how to work it....

I purchased this for my wife lap top that did not come with a external DVD drive, works fine no issues highly recommend

Easy to install. Was able to load pc programs into my new laptop using cd's and this DVD RW/CD-RW Drive - works great!

I work on a lot of different computers and many times the optical drives haven't been used for so long that more often than not the drive has died and the owner doesn't even realize it. Also, now a lot of new laptops have no optical drive from the factory. If I didn't have this drive then the unit would have to be taken from owner's location back to the shop. Neither situation is convenient to customers. This drive makes it possible to fix more problems in the field. Great toolbox item!

I just needed the drive for some old software that was on a disk. When bundled with a laptop the price was very good.

I would recommend this CD player for traveling because it can fit in your pocket and your laptop without a lot of wires

A great device for burning cd's for the car. Great price too!!

It does exactly what I need. I don't have a usual need for a CD drive but when I do it's just fine!

its super easy to watch movies and burn discs. use it for iMac and Macbook air

LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD Drive is easy to use. I had no problem setting it up, got to actually use it in 5 min.

This is a simple DVD player that is easy to use and reliable. I was able to hook it up right away.

Over the last year we have purchased most of our techie items from Best Buy. I love their new low prices/in stock items and their generous price matching. It's great to be able to go to one of their local stores and do hands-on exams and have a live person explain everything you need to know. Excellent job Best Buy. You're miles better to deal with than you were in the recent past :-)
