I bought a Toshiba from Best Buy previously, and loved it, so I bought this one for a relative because I feel it will last and give good service.

I purchased this unit for a family member as a gift. He reports that it is working great and is compatible with his small LG flat screen. Very pleased with the purchase.

I plugged this baby in and it did the job just fine - read the disc like I needed it to. It feels a little cheap, but does the job. For the price tag, that's all I needed.

Seems to be ok for software installation, but my computer keeps asking me if I want to allow it to write to my hard drive.

I needed to load some software on my pc. The DVD drive on the pc was not working so I purchace this external drive. Porblem solved!! We can now watch movies and all now. We are very happy.

Compact construction, easy to install, easy to use. A little bit loud, but not bad. "Eject" button on unit doesn't work when using with a Mac, but disc can be ejected from the computer.

I purchased the DVD writer to compliment the 2 in 1 tablet I purchased for my daughter. It worked perfect for uploading games and backing up pictures and videos.

Needed a product that could upload Microsoft Office to my MacBook Air. This was the cheapest product available and it got the job done easily. Highly recommend.

Laptop did not come with an optical drive and this one was on sale. Very small assortment of optical drives at Best buy but this one works well.

I purchased this because I don't have a disk drive on my computer and I'm horrible with computers and everything they come with, but this is very easy to use!

I bought this to use with a computer that didn't have a DVD drive. It's easy to set up and the installation was simple. Not too bulky. It can be unplugged and stored when not needed

Drive on my laptop wasn't working but didin't want to spring for whole new computer. Adding this means I can access CD-ROMS again with only a small financial expenditure - woohoo!!

This drive works great and was easy to install. My only complaint is that whenever I turn on my computer a Microsoft dialog pops up. That's easy to deal with though. Great product.

I was going to buy a dvr tv combo. However this and my small laptop was a better option for us to take camping. It allows us to do many more thing than just watch movies on the go!

This drive purchased due to the Dell I bought did not have a built in drive ( the wave of the future) some of us old dogs still use DISC!!!! Easy set up and no issues with disc use....

Works very well. Haven't burned an CD/DVDs yet, so I'm not sure on that. It does say bad words every once in awhile and tells my wife to do the dishes. Avoid the lone-bachelor model.

Very confusing to install the player. spent more time trying to figure out how to install. No helpful directions. Also the disk loads things not related to the player and you don't get a choice whether to install them. Took a lot of my time to uninstall those items. Do not recommend buying this because of that.

I like to make cd and DVDs of family functions and get togethers. Never know when my mind will go and I'll need something to watch that is familiar and funny!

I was a little worried at first to add this product. But as I figured out the bugs it seems to be performing well.

I'm very gentle with my electronics, so I haven't run into any durability issues. Otherwise, runs fine, does what I need it to do. No complaints ... yet.
