I have had it for a few months and it is still working great. The drive worked fine when I was writing to dvd's and cd's. I use it often and it is a good drive.

I bought it so my Grands could watch dvds while they visit. It was easy to set up and use.

The only thing missing from the Mac was this. I am so glad we purchased it and have used it many times.

This was a great addition to my surface pro 3. Helps so much so we don't have to purchase DVDs just for that.

Bought this a few years ago and still works until today. No problems at all.

This thing was super simple to hook up to my Mac mini! It works like a charm and seeing as it is plug and play makes it even better if needed to hook to some other device. And for the price it was a steal!

Bought a new laptop and it did not have a DVD/CD ROM. Bought this for the need of inporting and exporting DVD/CD material. Drive works great, is compact and small enough to fit anywhere.

This little guy works great. It seems durable enough, but we shouldn't expect these things to last forever when they're this cheap. It's been working great under an average amount of use, and there's not much more to say than that!

My CD/DVD burner failed after ripping my CD collection to iTunes. I didn't want to spend the money for an internal burner and started looking around for an external replacement. Saw some cheaper "no name" brands, but decided to go with the name brand LG. Easy installation and worked nicely. Maybe a little slower than the internal burner, but still acceptable.

I bought it with my new laptop as external CD. work great for every day. Also its reliable and affordable.

I needed an optical drive after purchasing an 2-in-1 laptop, and I still own programs on CD. And for that purpose only I decided to get this one, it was on sale for $27.99. I don't care for the software that came with it, other people might. I plugged in, computer recognized it immediately and I was ready to install my software. Worked with out any flaws and very quick. I have no idea how it would perform playing movies, burning CDs or DVDs.

I was able to use points to the purchase of this product and so I pain less than $10.00 for the product. Also, it was on sale. I am very happy i made the purchase.

I've been using this burner for a few months now and there's been no problems so far. I don't normally need an optical drive, but it's proven to be really handy as I had it with me to do some installs at a client site and they had some old files that needed to be looked at and the burner totally came in handy as it's so portable that I happened to have it with me!

This thing is worth the money. It works very efficiently

Bought an HP Envy laptop (actually two-one for my teenager and one for my wife) both don't come with an internal DVD/CD drive so bought this for anything that we need to load via a CD. Only used it a couple of times but it does the trick. Seems fast enough for my needs. Don't see any negatives.

I bought this because my tiny Acer Aspire laptop didn't come with an internal one, and I needed to burn a lot of CDs for a nonprofit with which I volunteer. This is a great CD/DVD burner. I had no issues setting it up, and it always burned my CDs quickly. The only problem is that it's almost too lightweight and ultraportable, and the USB cable that comes with it is only about 18 inches long. I keep my computer on my coffee table, and just the slightest nudge or pressure on the table would cause the CD burner to go sliding off and crash on the hardwood floor. After this happened about 10 times, understandably, it stopped opening all the way but would still burn CDs. Now, though, I can't even get it to do that, so I'm planning to buy the exact same one and be more careful next time.
