There are few devices that work with both Apple and Windows/android devices but this external drive does. Helps make life almost as easy as hiving a laptop with DVD drive. Get this one, as the other options don't work with both.

I don't understand why a CD is provided that doesn't have the software necessary to run the writer. That annoyed me. A Geek told me what freeware to download, and now it works just fine. And I'm happy.

I've only used it a few times so far and it seems to work great. The only thing that sucks it's the cord is short so you have to have it sitting right next to the laptop.

external drive is great for playing movies and cd's and burning cd's, just plug it in and its ready to use, simple, and that's good for me, as i'm just a novice at this.

This drive works good the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is the need to use a u.s. cable with two plugs on the computer side for some machines and it was not supplied with the drive.
