This item saved the day! The did player in laptop went out and I was able to get and use this product so our long car trip was fabulous wig a 2 year old!

This product is amazing. All computers today do not have disk drives anymore so this product is great! It is great for everyday use as well as for college.

It's a basic Portable DVD, it's really good. Works really fine with my windows PC. the best thing is that it has a really good price!

love the fact that my apple air is so lite. However, not having a cdRom was painful sometimes. This external writer is perfect and small enough for my bag.

When one needs an external CD/DVD drive, this one will fit most any computer. Price is right. Just hope it lasts as long as the laptop I bought to use with it.

Needed a dual layer drive and this was well reviewed. Heeded online advice and set the burn to a slower speed when doing dual layer disks and no problems with recording. Form factor is extremely thin and light, overall size is not much larger than a disk (about 1/4 inch larger on each side). Easy to slip into laptop bag if you are going to need an external optical drive while on the go.

Pros- Compact and light weight that functions seamlessly with a computer and very reasonably priced. I have used this product through a wide range of temps -10F - 110F in a wide range of environments (ie. snow, dessert) and has No Problems Yet! So no cons thus far for the money for this product! Love it! Cons-NONE!

It was so light I thought it was junk but it works great, easy to use and the quality of pictures copied and displayed is fantastic!

This is extremely thin and was needed when I bought a computer that didn't have a CD drive.

I got this external dvd/cd drive for my macbook pro since they don't come built in anymore and it works perfectly. Was really glad and the price is great!

This is not a deluxe model but it is well-priced for what it is. I am happy with it but do not mistake it for a fancy external drive.

I recently had a problem with cd/dvd drive... NOT NOW! This device was great. And the price was much less that what fixing my computer would've been too.

This is a slim, and highly portable dvd player/writer. It is very easy to use; just plug it into one of your computer's usb ports and you're good to go.

Annoying that laptops don't include this automatically anymore but this gets the job done.

I bought this external double-layer drive for use with my new MacBook Pro because it didn't have a drive and I need it badly to back up files. I wanted to get the Apple external drive but it was way too expensive so I searched for an alternative to buy that won't be too expensive and I saw this at the store and checked the specs and checked the reviews online. I'm glad I bought it because I saved a lot and the drive is not bad at all it does all the things I need. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative double layer DVD RW/CD-RW Drive.

With the trend of more laptop PCs not coming with built in CD/DVD drives, this purchase was a must. Easy set up, just plug it in and you are pretty much ready to go. Very light weight and slim design, so it doesn't take up to much space in the laptop bag. The price wasn't bad either, especially with the combo deal of buying a laptop too. Great addition to the mobile command center.

For those that don't have a CD/DVD drive, this is perfect adding software to your computer. The small size is good for storing the unit when not in use.
