An External Disk Drive

Only the PC didn't have a disk drive, so I asked my brother (tech whiz) what I should do, and he suggested an external disk drive. So I got the disk drive and it took me quite a bit to set it up (I finally had to go to said brother) and I finally figured out that because the PC didn't have a disk drive, it didn't have any programs to play DVDs or anything on it. Also, the installation itself was a hassle, things in this day should all be compatible with each other without any install. But it turns out I don't need it much, I can watch DVDs with our TV. So you should only get this product if you really need it, or better yet, just get a PC with a disk drive. If I used it more I would say it was worth the money though, (if you can only get a computer without a disk drive) and I would recommend it to a friend. So, basically a mixed review here.

Great for the MacBook Pro

I don't use them much, but do still have a few things stored on DVD/CD. This is cheap, compatible with many accessories and gets the job done.

I did my research on external drives and decided on the LG 8x External DVD/RW CD/RW. I just needed it to make installs onto my laptop. It's not as fast as I imagined but it does the job and allows me to install software onto my laptop. I have only used the burner once. I'm satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it for normal everyday use.

Works great and takes a small space

It is a great backup tool. We use this disc drive with our surface and for downloading information from disc. I would highly recommend this disc drive to friends.
