This is a great product and is working perfectly with my laptops. Very light weight and very easy to handle. I gave 4 for compatibility as I did not test it with non-Windows operating systems.

We bought a laptop without realizing it had no disk drive. I purchased this with the help of a Best Buy employee and I got this less expensive product and it works great for the family use.

Very portable, works exactly as I need it to. Only complaint is that the suite that it wants to install with it is a bit annoying in terms of extra unnecessary stuff.

Bought a laptop tha did not have a CD/DVD player built in. Since I was going to buy a USB attached CD/DVD R/W drive, I decided to spend a bit more for a drive that handles BluRay. This way I can play my Netflix DVDs while away from home. Drive was self installing, no software required from a CD.

It's an all around good product it's easy to install and easy to use . It also looks very nice. I would recommend to a friend and if I need another one for some reason I would buy another.

You get a lot of bang for the buck with this drive. Write and read speeds are pretty good. Not as fast as some of the bigger and more expensive external drives I have used, but then again, it's smaller and less expensive. My only real gripe is that it in the documentation it mentions that some computers will require a special type of USB cable that has two usb plugs on one end and one USB plug on the other, and that it does not come with this type of cable. Luckily, I had an extra one of these cables from another external USB DVD writer that I have. LG should have included this extra cable.

I know that this product would have worked very well with the mac mini, which does not come with a cd/dvd player. However, I never actually used it and ended up returning it. Good price for this product.

I used this product to put all of my old CD's into my music library on my computer, and it did the trick. The process took a long time, but to make all of those CD's digital was worth it. The drive was more money than I had expected, but it worked great.

I bought this because my work computer didn't come with a burner drive and this little one is great. I can bring it back and forth to work to get things done, plus listen to cds when I'm done.

The DVD RW/CD RW external drive is light weight and easy to use. The software installation was more time consuming than I expected. But I've had no real issues from the drive.

Worked well with my laptop right off the bat. True p&p. I bought this because my desktop CD-R/DVR quit working. I figured this was cheaper than having someone fix or replace it. But it wouldn't work with the desktop. I called customer service and a very patient man walked me thru the process. Amazingly, not only did he get it to work, the fix also got my desktops device to work. I've used it to rip CDs to media player and to burn playlists to CDs. So far so good. It is small enough to be truly portable. I recommend it to anyone looking for such a device. Glad I bought it.
