This thin DVD player writer is a dream. Easy to use and easy to store in laptop case. A must have if you have a broken player/recorder. Software easy to install. No glitches.

This external DVD not only attaches to my PC and MAC but also to my TV as a DVD player. It hooks up to a USB port on the TV and the remote to the TV controls it. Excellent

Easy software to install. Unit is lightweight and compact. Perfect if you don't need a built in dvd drive.

I have a Samsung ultra book and I occasionally need to burn CDs or DVDs . This LG is small and easy to transport. Also easy to use. I really like it!

This item works. It plugs in and runs discs efficiently. I have no complaints. That said, I've never needed an external disc drive (because all of my previous laptops have them included), so I can't really compare it to anything else.

Recently needed to back up large amounts of data. Was easy to use and small enough to carry always in my computer case.

the laptop I bought is so slim it has no internal dvd drive so the external is needed if dvds/ cds are to be used; this is a very compact easy to use external drive

Just bought a laptop that did not have an enteral drive ,bought this one because of the price and I needed to download office .Did a great job and even pretty fast

I bought the cheapest one which work just fine. Only need it for downloading games and hardly use. I think it was a good move not to put to much money into this.

This portable DVD writer works as expected. It is light weight and fits neatly in my Laptop case with no fuss but would have been better to have had just a little longer power cord.

Not to much can be said. It is a small thin external drive that works as it should. great add on for anyone that has a newer laptop with no on board optical drive

My MAC did not have a cd drive, so I bought this cd drive, and I was worried that it would take up too much space. Good thing it is small sized and light as well.

So light and perfect for the laptop and the TV, it works with both! The connector cord could be a little longer for TV purposes, but overall, it's a great length.

I purchased this product after conducting some research by visiting other stores and found it to be very reasonable (cheaper than WalMart) and it worked great. The staff at Best Buy were extremely helpful and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and price.

Needed an external just in case a machine im working on internal dvd drive doesn't work for whatever reason. This is a great alternative. Read and write speeds are okay for the price range i was looking for. LG is a great brand and i see why. Great Product.

It does exactly what it should with no fuss. Reading and burning works on Windows and Mac without any additional drivers. It also worked fine with a laptop running Ubuntu. The case is flimsy, but that has no effect on how the drive works. Great deal overall.

didn't try to burn anything yet, but downloaded about 100 cd's to iTunes. Didn't recognize only one copied cd, even though there were other cd's of same manufacturer. sometimes the sound coming from it sounded like it was dying but then its normal. so far so good.
