This item works good with my Asus laptop that doesn't have a DVD drive. I like it a lot and its easy to use.

plugged this into my tablet right out of the box. connects, but does not have any dvd playback software on the install cd. got online and downloaded my own software to resolve. $30 for a usb dvd player is just about right. Not too loud, doesn't get too hot.$50 more and they sell a bluray model with the software built in. I would recommend the blu ray model over the dvd most likely. Have not tried out the burning capability

Needed something small and compact for my new small/compact Asus laptop....works great and fits great in small/compact computer case.

The disk drive works great with my Apple Mini Mac. It was basically a plug and play device. I have burned a whole lot of CDs with it with no problems.

I bought this to go with my new laptop because it didn't have a disc drive and it has met with all of my expectations for an LG product. The installation was simple with the disc provided, I just had to plug in the new reader and put the disc in and the computer did the rest. When I use it it is easily recognized by my computer and quick to function. It was able to install all of Microsoft office in about half and hour and that one usually takes a while.

I bought the LG unit as an alternative to the Apple DVDRW/CD-RW. it's a lot cheaper and the difference in speed is not bothersome, unless you're making a large number of copies. Sometimes economy wins out over style.

Pros: Good price and build quality. Cons: None so far, although I wanted a 3.0 USB DVD player but Best Buy didn't have one in stock. I would recommend splurging on a 3.0 USB DVD dirve since it is much faster overall

I bought this for my laptop as it had no DVD drive and it worked perfectly done without having to download any software and is super light and slim

This was the easiest thing to set up, just plug and play. It works perfectly with my newest macbook pro retina (late 2013) and is easy to carry around.

I bought this for my Dell Venue 11 Pro not knowing if it would even power up from the single usb3 port available. Happy to report that it not only powered up but plays DVD movies and burns DVD and CD discs with no problems. Thanks Best Buy.

Bought a laptop with no DVD/CD player. Best Buy associate picked this out for me. It works and does what it's supposed to do. Wish I'd bought a better laptop with a built in player. One more thing to keep up with.

This is a must have add on. The price is great and it works really good. Its not very large so I can leave it on the desk without it being in the way.

This small DVD player seems to work great for the occasional times I have needed to play a DVD movie or enter an older program on to my hard drive. Nice to be able to use on various machines family has. Very inexpensive for what you get.

I was looking for a low end dvd player and this turned out to perfectly fit my requirements. Works fine and worth the money.

It is very easy to to connect to my netbook. Compact size makes it eeasy to store. Great to back up the netbook. and down load photos for storage.
