I needed this to be able to transfer pics that I had on dvd's to my computer. It has done what I had intended it to do. It isn't the best of quality, but for the price, is well worth it.

This product was extremely hard to install and get running. When I finally got it running I discovered that I could not find a DVD reading program in the software that was included with the product. The programs that did come with it seemed altogether useless and none of them worked very well.

Software boots every time even when drive is not it connected, so I know it is slowing down my system.

Laptop does not have a DVD so I had to fix the problem. The LG worked out great. Like my laptop it is small & works great.

The drive is a good compact size and light weight. It's worked well most occasions, but there have been a couple of time when playing a video DVD it has become troublesome. The playback has frozen and eject has not operated to open the drive until after it has been removed and reattached to the computer (Mac Air system). Usually once running again it works well.

This is a nice little external CD/DVD drive that works pretty well. Bought it because the new laptop I bought doesn't have a built-in optical drive. Setup was easy and I was able to start installing disc-based software quickly. The software that comes with the drive does have the annoying tendency, though, to prompt you for permission to install updates every time you start the computer, even when it doesn't actually have anything new to install.

From the start this is a great dvd player and if you just need one for ocational veiwing it's a great deal. Next, it says on the box that you can hook it up to your tv but It didn't work.

Great product. Slim and convenient. Easy to carry around and very useful for most laptops that come without disc drives now.

Good burner. Bought it to use with ASUS ul301. Plug and play. Just a tad bit loud for my audiophile ears.

So much faster than the desktop and works well with the laptop. So much more compact and eliminates extra gear to carry.

Very reliable, well made device. It is compact, travel friendly, and great stability for movie marathons. Recommend it.

Seemed to be exactly what I wanted but I could not get the accompanying software to install. Went to Best Buy to get help from Geek Squad but only one clerk working (and working hard) at that counter. With several others waiting ahead of me and other staff simply watching and doing nothing, I decided it was more time effective to return the item then to waste my time waiting for assistance. Felt bad for the one overworked employee.

It is a great product for the price, doesn't take up much space in your laptop bag and can be used with your smart tv too.

I like that it is smaller and portable. It is very easy to use.

I wanted a disk drive because my MacBook does not have one, this product does the job, is easy to use, and lightweight.

Even if we can download most of what we want, we still want the option of being able to use dvd/cd's on our "MAC. We're not sure we like having to pay additional for it, though.

Got this because my new laptop is a SSD laptop with no disc drive, but I still had programs I wanted to install that were CD-only. This functioned perfectly, allowing me to install programs and burn CDs.

This unit is replacing a larger DVD burner I had that has failed. Even though it has a manual tray it is built well and so far seems sturdy. It performs without error and has been a fine overall replacement.
