Not much one can say about a virus program. either it works or it does not. If it does not work then we have a big problem. It seems to operate without interfering with the overall operation of my Mac.

Seen fragile but works fine for installing from a disk or playing music right out of the box. My Windows 8 Laptop did not have a DVD player built in so movies did not work until I found a player to install. They sell it with basic program and then offer an expensive upgrade package with a player. The basic program meets all my needs. I found a free DVD player (with adds) that allows my to play movies. I recommend this as a fine inexpensive external drive for those who need/want one.

This product was easy to use and compatible with my new computer. I had no problem with hook up and use of this product

The CD drive is great it reads and burns CD's fine. But the controller is alright but using it, it feels a little unresponsive. Might just be because of my laptop, I'm not sure.

I recently purchased a laptop, so I needed a device to import and burn CDs. This product happened to be on sale, the salesperson recommended it and I have had no problems. It does what I need it to do!

The new Apple iMac no longer comes with an internal cd drive.Therefore this was purchased as a way of keeping the older physical disks that I have accessible to their content.

This DVD drive is easy to use with a laptop with no CD drive. Is fast speed.

You can tell it is light plastic and feels like it might break easily but it gets the job done. Using it with a Macbook Air. If I had the money I'd grab the OEM Apple version.

Unit does everything it say. Super small and easy setup just plug in. Work great with my Mac mini

Bought this item to install software on my ACER laptop, fast install. Great product for the money.

this is a nice product. although I would prefer to have a dvd player connected to my laptop, the dvd player is pretty easy to use.

Nice and slim so it doesn't take up a lot of space. Was very easy to work and figure out for the first time user.

If this item is used where you don't have a DVD drive, then it could be great for that... With USB 2.0, You will need a mini usb adapter for some of the smaller compatible items.

i would prefer my cd drive to be on my laptop, but it makes the laptop lighter. This does work though just nice!!

I bought this disc drive to accompany my new laptop that doesn't have one already built in to it. Its easy to connect, USB port, and works great. I use it for burning CD's and DVD's. So far, I haven't had any technical issues and don't see any issues arising. Will update if any occur.

Bought this with a new labtop and figured it was going to be a plug and go install. Windows 8 doesn't come with a vcp viewer so you need to download a version to play DVDs, seems like a no brainer now but at the time I was having second thoughts on my $900 labtop. Haven't tried cd burning but don't expect anymore issues. Software provided was useless to me also- I dont plan on editing movies just got it to watch DVD with.

Works as advertised! Simply plug it in and download whatever you need or play dvd's, cd's etc. Great price too!

nice to plug the product in when needed and easily store it when not needed - very simple to use and seems reliable
