Small compact player. USB powered is awesome. Looks easy to travel with. Good purchase for laptops without player.

I purchased a lap top without a cd player so it wouldn't be so bulky and it was lighter. I purchased the cd player separately and it works great! I was skeptical, but just one use and I a fan!

Definitely does what it's supposed to. Easy setup, rips CDs quickly. Some of the disc's caused the unit to dance across the table from the vibration but other than that, no complaints at all.

We've only use this a couple of times, which is why we only gave it four stars. It seemed to work just fine. We got it on sale on Black Friday, so the price was great.

This LG external drive is inexpensive and works great.Very fast and looks really good. I use it all the time!

Product works great. Writes CDs at a reasonable speed, and really it is awesome that finally we can do more without having to have a CD drive built into our laptops. Thanks for the great product!

Bought this for my laptop. Worked perfectly and can use with a portable tv when we travel for playing movies.

I had to get this because the DVDs function on my laptop didn't work. Was told that this would do the trick sad to say it did not, but I am still using it for storage

This is a simple addition for a laptop without a cd drive. It is very easy to use and does not cost that much.

I've heard that getting an external Disk Drive is a better option than internal not only because it frees up room inside the computer for better options, but also because if it breaks it is easier to replace. What can I say ... I took it out of the box, plugged it into my computer, and it worked. I haven't had any issues with it ... Does EXACTLY what it should !!!

I've only read a couple CDs and played one DVD so far, but as the missing link for my iMac and new HP laptop that don't have optical drives, it fits the bill just fine.

With newer laptops getting thinner and lighter, the internal optical drive is becoming a thing of the past. Still needing a way to play presentations and run programs on disc, I selected this dive based on reviews, brand name and price. It installed quickly on a Win7 machine and has performed as expected ever since. My only concern is when traveling, it is thin and light so will have to find added protection.
