works great w/ mac. great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The internal DVD burner on my 5 year old Macbook no longer burns so I bought this (also in anticipation of replacing said macbook.) its tray loading (will work with those smaller disks), less expensive, and a lot cheaper then the apple branded slot loading external burner. Worked seamlessly right out of the box with the mac and its a quality LG branded product to boot. Highly recommended.

Did not work on the Windows 8 tablet as expected.

Turns out the Windows 8 running on the tablet does not support a DVD / CD attachment. I have since learned that Windows 8 comes in many different versions, so Windows 8 on a computer, Surface, Tablet, phone, all support different functions.
