Basic drive that meets my needs

This met my needs and was inexpensive. The only issue has been that the USB cord doesn't seem to make a solid connection so I have to jiggle the plug in order for the laptop to recognize the drive. But once it connects, everything works as expected.

It does what it needs and works out the box in Win 8 with no drivers needed. Very small, thin and compacte which is what I needed. Only issue for me is the speed is fairly slow, but that was a given with it's listed.

Simple Set Up

The Notebbook computer we purchased did not have an internal optical drive. This item was inlcuded in a bundle with the computer and was discounted $10. I would say this item will work just as well as an internal drive. Downside is you have to carry it around.
