Quick, very easy transfer of music CD's to my computer to then transfer to my IPOD.

Works great, whirring sounds , disc spins, data comes flying out!

Great product, needed for my new driveless laptop and it is in very good use now!

I really like the case and how slim the drive is, but am always worried about the connectors on these devices. So far I haven't had any issues, but am handling it carefully to prevent trouble. Speed is OK.

This works well, I just wish that I hadn't needed to buy it. Apparently computers now are designed without a built in CD drive. The expect everything to be downloaded onto the computer and ignore already existing CD's. At least I did have this available to me so I could still use my CD's.

This is a nice portable drive to carry in your laptop bag. Purchased it for my son at college. I tested it out and found it to be a little slow for my liking. My first external DVD drive so don't have any comparison except to built-in drives. Due to the speed, I would not recommend this.

An external drive is a necessary evil with the newer laptops -- especially if you have older software you would like to install. This one does the job and it isn't necessary to install all the software unless you intend to burn CDs/DVDs.

Son needed it bc laptop did not come with a drive. It works well.

I like the minimal amount of set up associated with this product

Gone to buy extra external drive, I shopped on line and gone to diff onsite stores looking for an external drive for the right price, of all on site stores there were very few staff members available to help me locate the product, but no there was one who could help me find what Iam looking for by the time I found it the price was not so right left empty handed, when I arrived to Best Buy I was welcomed by the staff member as I walked in, and directed to where I can find the product right-away, went to the dept and another staff member assisted me to the location of the products in question, and they help me determine which product would be best for me based on the info I provided to the staff member, I was in and out of the store in no time at all, the product did exactly what I needed for. Thank you for having great customer service and knowledgable staff.. Will definitely continue shopping at Best Buy.

It was significantly cheaper than the Apple equivalent, plus it was on sale at the time - even better. It seems to be just as good. I've had no issues burning disks. Simply pluged it into USB port on my Mac and it was recognized by my Toast program to burn to.

This CD Reader/Recorder is equal to the Mac version except more than half the price.

PRODUCT IS FINE NO PROBLEMS BUT THE SURROUND SOUND DID NOT WORK.

I wish someone had told be about this when I bought my computer.

Gift for my son so I have not used this product myself, but he seems to like it.

I used this ext optical drive to install Win7 on a tiny desktop, it worked great.
