LG External Writer

This LG had good reviews and when combined with the price it seemed like a win. So I purchased one and so far it's been great. I haven't burned any discs yet but for playing DVDs it's been great. I would have loved an Apple SuperDrive just to keep it all Apple but didn't want to scrape up the extra money.

Useful accessory

Since my use of this drive is limited to cd's, this is perfectly adequate for my purpose. It seems to be a good choice in it's price range and has functioned as expected. The only complaint I have is the extremely short USB cable included, and $5.00 on Amazon remedied that. Overall a seemingly good purchase.

Sleek and small

I had to call customer service to install. I was not told I had to download a media driver to play dvds, which will be it's primary use. The media drive buttons are so small on the touchscreen it is impossible to tap them without hitting the wrong one.
