Not a lot of use for drives like this anymore - which is why many computers (especially the thinner ones) no longer come with them The price was excellent and gets its power from the computer. My daughter has no complaints.

Good for laptops but not desktop

The best features are the thin case that makes it easy to put in a bag and you don't need an external power source.

Most of the new ones don't have the drive or soft ware for these tasks. While those that do have the drive they don't have the software. This is an all in one package.
