I ordered this laptop to work from home and still use for personal use. I absolutely love it! I have an active pen I use and it's also a touch screen. Highly recommend!

Just bought a new MacBook and wanted to be able to watch older DVDs not digital and be able to burn DVDs for work and classes. Love this item and would recommend to others.

Product performs perfectly with Windows 8.1. The expectations are that it will work perfectly with Windows 10.

I didn’t realize that the HP laptop I just purchased didn’t have a CD/DVD. This LG is great.

I've always been skeptical about these things, but it was finally time to get one, considering the build we had. Very simple to plug n play, and it does its job well. Once in a while, you may to fiddle with it, but not often enough to be problematic.

The product seems to work well overall. I purchased it to go with a laptop which came without a DVD player built in. It came with software, but did not have any for watching DVD's. Something along the lines of Power DVD or similar would have been ideal.

I needed a DVD/CD player that would work with my Microsoft Surface 3 with Windows 10, and this one works fine. A prior Samsung player would not work with the Surface 3 & Windows 10, and many others will not.

I really like the disc drive and also I got a Great deal on it for about $30 normally $60. My all in one computer that I love didn’t have a disc drive so this works Great for me.

I had a laptop screen die but thought the hard drive was fine. Bought the enclosure, put in the hard drive after removing it from the laptop, and it worked straight out. Now I have backup storage for a very small investment.

Had to buy one of these because DVDs are starting to go extinct. Mistakenly bought my wife a Mac game, only to forget her Mac has no DVD drive... So I had to buy one of these. It works.

Newer computers don't have CD or DVD slots anymore so I'm still old school and like those features so looking for a way to have them and found it with this product

I had to return this unit. There were certain disks that it would just not load. There was nothing special about those disks, and it would load almost of my collection (audio CDs, both commercial and those I'd burned myself). LG's customer service was excellent, but they decided it was defective and told me to return it. One other negative: there's no friction on the bottom of the case. It tended to slide around when I loaded a disk.

Exactly what I was looking for! After purchasing a new laptop without a CD drive, this is precisely what I needed for my computer uses.

In these days of DVDless laptops this drive is real lifesaver I was able to back up my laptop and install my software all through USB port with this little portable drive. It was definitely a lifesaver

When my company changed laptop suppliers, I was given a new Dell without an internal DVD player. I bought this simple DVD player with USB port. Works perfect for my presentations!

This device fails to use USB C. In 2025 this is unacceptable. The pictures and description do not show that this uses MINI-USB, which should only exist on oddball legacy devices that have not become E-waste. LG should be ashamed that this uses Mini-USB. Mini USB is a deprecated standard and plug and has no business in new devices.

I Have an appointment external LG drive for my PC. My husband wanted one that was also able to write. We got this and everything is going very well. It suits his purposes.

This LG disc player does an excellent job playing cds and dvds. It is also less expensive than some other players.

My wife was looking for a super drive to go with her Mac. This one is much lower in price than the apple. Plugged it in and worked perfect. The silver color looks like a perfect match with her Mac. Couldn't be happier.

I have used this unit with my MacBook Pro. On a trip I ran seven different DVDs for over 20 hours of playing time without any problems. The sound and pictures were good. This did just what l bought it to do.
